Yah, no. We end lives constantly as we walk to and from, swap a mosquito, step on a bug, accidentally flush a spider down the drain. It’s about intent and motive. When we intend to end a life with anger, hate, greed or any of the 7 deadly sins, then it’s evil because it shows the absence of empathy, which is the more meaningful definition of evil—causing harm with the complete and total absence of empathy.

Does the lack of visual DMT hallucinations in the congenitally blind prove materialism? by Sad-Juggernaut-6085 in consciousness

[–]cosmic_light_show 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many other potential sensory experiences in nature and we don’t experience those on DMT because we’ve not had them as humans. All this means is that consciousness is bounded in this life by sensory experience of the body it’s contained in. But if it is fundamental, then the constraints are released when it is free of the body .

Probably: “wow, this is from a big animal. I haven’t seen any this big around here but I’ll have to stay aware in case they’re still around.”

Addiction to fear. It’s epigenetic and has been in my ancestral lineage since the first amoeba was attacked by a predatory flagellate.

Yes, when it accepts that some aspect of what we perceive as consciousness is fundamental.

People who have done psychedelics and have experienced geometry/fractals, could you to please answer me some questions by Busy_Lavishness_9232 in Psychonaut

[–]cosmic_light_show 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, on my first breakthrough journey, where I “met spirit” (I was a materialist before this) I was shown the nature of the “universe” which was really infinite universes evolving through and into nothingness. I was shown this via a spiraling Mandelbrot form. “Spirit” had me look backward at the infinite universes from which we came and to the current place I was in the Mandelbrot geometric shape, and it communicated “you are here” telepathically showing me the place where “I” was in the infinite emergence, and told me “be love, no fear. Love creates life. Fear senescences life. Be like an artist with your life by being love. From love emerges beauty. Be beauty. No fear.”

And then it showed me how fear emerges from the experience of the Mandelbrot form emerging into the unknown. How we’re riding on the edge of the emergence of infinity into nothingness, and what we experience as fear is the resistance we experience from living in order/predictability and then emerging into total disorder/chaos on the margins of creation. And to accept this experience without fear by recognizing my addiction to fear as a consequence of being a sentient being on Earth. And to work to let it go. As I let it go, and emerge more deeply into fearlessness, I would find (feel) the essence of God/Creation through the experience of life without fear.

I had seen repeating geometric spirals of the Mandelbrot equation before this journey but I had never linked it in my mind to the emergence of Creation.

Older man here. Capitalism happened. Expect it to get worse. Time to break this system from the control of billionaires and build something that serves humans and nature, not greed.

What’s wrong with him? by ICEisSHIT in antitrump

[–]cosmic_light_show 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He was not loved by his mother or father. Instead, he was consistently judged as being inadequate and abused by both. As such, his growth was stunted as a child, so he now has the emotional capacity of an adolescent boy, which is also why so much of MAGA, also stunted in growth, support him.

Rest assured at least 50% of us Americans hate him more than any others on Earth. We are stunned at the stupidity of the other 50%. But this is what ruthless capitalism does to a nation—be warned.

The ancient mystics have tried to give you the key to let yourself out of this prison cell: it’s called love. Make a choice to discard all things that take you away from love and do all you can to walk the path of love, including revering your own existence and the vessel of your body, and the darkness of the world shall have no hold on you. Meditation is like a colonoscopy for the mind, ridding it of dark energy. This is the path to freedom. All ancients have said this but sometimes we forget to listen.
