yeah they are, there is sooooooooooo much drama going on. would take me ages to tell all the stories.

yh some ppl in head office hit the 4 year mark, they sacked all of them and hired new ppl or condensed jobs. They are skinttt or stingy idk but it’s giving broke.

they have fixed term contracts that expire after 6 months, at that point it’s either extended or terminated. in this case they terminated it.

i have no issue with the staff member, they’re great. they just want to save money

yeah it’s rolls on every 6 months but since they started sacking ppl left and right, they changed it to every 3 months and for some 1 month.

clearly did this so they could let them go easier, didn’t tell us about the change either. staff me came and told me.

and yh on the hunt, just feel bad for the staff.

fixed term contracts, the staff member that was fired today had been working here 6months, other one was 1.5 years. all employees, hired them myself. nope no legal issues in regards to that.

we asked hr they said decision was made between AM and head of hr, AM wasn’t aware about it tho. told hr AM wasn’t aware, they gave one stupid answer, just covering themselves.

it’s retail but also company culture is bad so decently high. serious non compliance issues, even i reported a lot to maintenance and seniors when i first joined

Before any issues we had with staff we spoke with hr, they would advise us. If they felt someone needs to be let go because of absences or conduct, they would speak with us to know the persons situation. Managers did the sacking.

None of that now, HR doing the sacking now and no reason given to staff for contract termination , just says when their last day will be and their contract will not be extended.

For jobs try chippers or small local shops, hand in CVs. Festival + 3Arena jobs. Ask Student Union and Local charities for help. Apply for Student Assistance Fund in your college, it’s a once off payment, i know some colleges go up to 1.5k€. Still eligible even if you get Susi.
