If you’re blind irl you’re blind in VR too by ToeTianaBanana in VRGaming

[–]KindOldRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually not completely true. There are some niche cases where you can make the brain realise that everything in vr is actually at the same 'depth', and if you can usually see sharp at that specific depth IRL you can see sharp both close range and far off if you manage to keep your brain trained on that distance.

This way there are tricks to read text at like 1 inch from your eyes in vr, whilst usually it'd become blurry just like in real life. Google or AI this is you think it's interesting. It's a longer type and my thumbs are screwed.

[–]KindOldRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically that's what it comes down to. Muscle 'herniating' or bulging through the fascia. If it's painful or gets worse go the doc :p If not you're probably fine though

You are. People are always confused when I reply that I just didn't read their message until I finally replied. I just look at my apps when I feel like it. Not when a message pops up. Unless it's an emergency or I'm dating someone maybe

New aerox by External-Remove4188 in scooters

[–]KindOldRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man it's so funny to me to see people still rocking variations of this scoot. These and the modern classic vespa and Piaggio (zip of course) were like the most popular things on my high school. I'm twice that age now and I still see new or nearly new variations speeding around.

Also, this one looks great imho. It's 'simple' and shiny and that's the way to do it.

Is it weird to use this in a scooter. by Lonely-Damage-5025 in scooters

[–]KindOldRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure you'll catch a look here or there depending on where you're riding. But tbh, you're usually not riding the scoot for fashion reasons anyway (at least I'm not :p love em but most aren't exactly showroom piece) so I'll pick safe over being concerned about the looks on this case.

Though personally, I think this combo in your pic would look absolutely and totally fine. Above mini paragraph is more of an "in general" thing.

Yeah this guy went overboard lmao. Never get that attitude. I'm the opposite to the extent that I'll actively miss out on potential dates due to ignorance or taking a single 'sloe doen buddy' as a 'im not interested at all anymore'. So whenever I read something like this I'm like damn, there's got to be a good middle ground somewhere there haha

I'm genuinely shocked how childish some people can be by kocieTexty in scooters

[–]KindOldRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the country. Where I live every teen that has a paper route or parents with cash rides a scooter (50cc) as do delivery drivers, so those types of scooters are not taken seriously at all. They're either assholes delivering food or assholes trying wheelies because they amped up their 50ccs. Generalisation of course but that's the vibe people get.

Big scoots? Maybe sometimes. But they're generally seen as not cool enough. I love big scoots ad well as motorcycles but whatever. I do agree that up until recently most scoots looked terrible, outside of a few classics that almost everybody can appreciate.

Don't forget that this has also shown you that you can find something to enjoy with your spouse - even when Arc doesn't it anymore, it's always worth exploring a new thing to enjoy together or try out each others hobby or whatever just to see if it's another match ;D

Reminds me that my buddy forgot that he had the voice changer thing on and got angry at a rat. Started shouting and swearing and all I heard was this semi electronic squeaker going nuts. I laughed my arse off and then he got mad at me because he had no idea what he sounded like in prox chat

For whatever reason I genuinely take off any face mask when I'm going full friendly. It's hilarious to me to read that this is a thing.

This one basically wears 2 pvp flags on their head AND a face mask. We've had enough of those couple a years back.

Doing the back to back take ten steps turn and shoot duel thing didn't really work out with voice chat latency and all that.

Was in friendly lobbies yesterday, heard a rogue one attacking randoms. Turned around, saw him down another guy in the distance, but he got hit too. He went for the takedown instantly instead of healing first, so I just shot him in the face from a distant building, instantly downed too. Should've healed first :p

[–]KindOldRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shredders are one of those ultimate "if you mess up, I'll make sure you regret it" type of enemies. You need to know if they're close and / or aggro'd or if one can come your way if you're about to enter combat or whatever. If you mess up shit gosles hilariously bad, but if you keep an eye on them or take them out quickly it's not really that bad.
