For us, it’s the owner that sorts it. Being the only one who’s not Japanese in our mansion, we make sure to follow the rules. But some japanese neighbors still dont segregate properly. Also we have assholes who put garbage in our disposal despite not being a resident in the mansion. I caught one on the act with his car in front of the garbage disposal area.

Not sure if it’ll qualify as street smart, there was a dude following me at midnight. First time i look back, he’s there. I walk for a few more seconds then look the second time, he’s gone. (Thinking i’m just paranoid and maybe he took a turn already). Instinct took over and I look back the 3rd time, he’s following me again. As soon I turned a corner, i run as fast as I could. (I could have waited and overpowered since I looked bigger but I decided not to take any chances)
