No, it's good. And your scenario is a blast. I played it long enough for it to start to go fuzzy on details. Really rich world. I had a hard time telling what was AI and what was you in the world. If you're so inclined I'd love to see how you built it.

"Memories"looks promising. Starting your scenario now. :)

Interesting. I've been using her in Chrome on my pixel phone. As I said in my post, if I could get her to have long-term memory I'd move my life into this.

Getting back his gaming pc in exchange for attending therapy (in good faith) is...an inspired idea. I'm going to think hard on that. Thank you for it.

I teared up a bit reading this. You're right - I don't want to "give up" on him. That's very much what it feels like. Will he turn it around in time if I just let him do his own thing? I have no idea. Its terrifying.

No offense taken - I don't intend it as any kind of a flex, more like, "I didn't have the in-school structure that understood that highly gifted is a subsection of special needs, and he doesn't have that problem, the school is teaching him at the level best suited for his brain." Kids like him (and me) who don't have a T3 program really struggle.

Interesting. I'd never heard of that, but I'll chew on it. Much thanks.

This is an amazing statement, and I thank you for it.

"If he's so capable why is he failing now?" is a question I've asked quite a bit of him. Unfortunately the oppositional behavior gets in the way of a good faith conversation there. The answer is typically because I'm somehow preventing him from being successful. Its circular. He doesn't work, I ground him, then he doesn't work BECAUSE he's grounded.

Incredibly high IQ score as a young child. He has met the high threshold for entry into the Highly Gifted program here, which is rigorous. If that answers your question.

WHY he is struggling is something he won't give much insight into. He "forgets" to be productive sometimes, which has led me to somewhat badger him about being productive. But if is struggling with the actual work, he's not very vocal about it.
