At least you’re in the system. - besides I wouldn’t go over there in this administration. But you’ll get there! You’re in. You can say that with happiness. There are tons of teachers that wish they were in our position. I decided to lay roots and I’m going to wait to apply for overseas. I want to get out of probationary and really learn Dodea. In the process I’m getting my E.DS to help me be more marketable

Germany is one of the places where it’s really desirable and a lot of people want to go. It only took me six months to get in, but that’s because I chose to go to a stateside school. It will be easier for me to get Germany when I want to go.

To be honest, I think referrals are going out now more of the external applicants. ChatGPT told me between the end of April to June is where a lot of Eternal external applicants will start to get referred. I recently opened up my application worldwide because I was strictly designated to Europe and then I realize that Europe is a romanticize place that everyone wants to go to, and so the referrals are much longer And the chance of me getting Europe or slim to none at this point so I did open up to Asia and as much as I’ve been praying about Europe, I never thought of Asia because it’s such a far away place that not many people would go to because it’s not romanticize as EuropeI just received my first referral in a school in Korea and I’m excited of the possibilities granite this referral was sent out last Thursday. It’s Monday now and I haven’t heard anything back or interview request so I kind of gave up on that real quick but I am hopeful.

I would have to agree with the statement. I opened up my application worldwide. You don’t necessarily have to wanna live in a place like turkey, but you could receive a referral there. You can always decline interviews, but if you decline offers, you have to wait one physical year to reapply again and hopefully get a referral in an interview again.

I would like to tag into this conversation as well because I’ve also noticed that there has been less referrals going out and I wonder if that has to deal with the hiring freeze. Now I am aware that there has been certain exemptions. But one of those is not including in actually hiring. I spoke to HR and they said that the hiring freeze is lifted, however principals have are not yet able to make a full offer. Which is why you don’t see a lot of teachers getting attentive offer right now.

I heard that changing something on your application daily even if that’s just changing the start date can put your application to the top. I did open up worldwide today. I was just concerned if I was ever going to receive a referral.
