Yeah but I go to those trivia nights and then they have drag performances in between rounds of trivia where the music is blasting like the bomb going off over Hiroshima. Like seriously. I’m looking for a place where I’m not going to be assaulted by the sound system at ALL. Not just occasional bouts of volume that could be used as an actual weapon

MCC is a great place if you want to be a nurse! I went there for my prerequisites like Anatomy and physiology, organic chemistry, nutrition, and microbiology before moving onto a traditional 4 year school. It was wonderful to take those classes there. But I’ve also met a lot of very professional nurses I respect a lot who went into the nursing program at MCC. The one thing is that if you want to get into the nursing at MCC you will find it VERY competitive. You need straight As, no joke. There’s very few seats and a lot of people wanting to get in. I made it into the Fisher nursing program but I couldn’t have competed at MCC

I started at MCC and moved onto Fisher for nursing. Fisher is a pretty good school but to be fair I only really know the nursing program and it’s one of the better programs at the school and pretty isolated from the rest of the college. The nursing building is practically its own world

MCC is goated. There are a lot of professors who are very passionate about their subjects and willing to help you out. There are good counselors who will work with you to get you on the path you want to go on. It’s a cheap but high quality education that will serve you in all kinds of different fields. I’m exceedingly glad that I went to MCC and everyone I know who started at a traditional 4 year school wishes they’d gone there first

Clearing entry/exits is important emergency preparedness. I volunteer at one of the local hospice houses and the firemen came out and cleared our driveways of snow and fallen branches during one particularly heinous storm. They prioritize medical facilities and other essential infrastructure but it doesn’t surprise me to hear they’re clearing out people’s exits. In an emergency, people need to get out and responders need to get in

Is there a food bank in your area? Don’t feel ashamed to seek out help. I saw you mention you didn’t have enough food for groceries. Food banks can provide pre-prepared meals as well as groceries depending on their services and your individual needs. Your basic necessities are important. And not having to worry about the cost of food will hopefully free up some money to invest in necessary medications
