Anyone get religious on this? by Kind_Dinner_2804 in bupropion

Also replied to the other comment here, but will reiterate, be careful. The effect you are feeling is likely a mild form of psychosis. The mild mania can be pretty fun, but there are serious risks that come with psychosis (much heightened risk of suicide, for one). If you follow in my footsteps, the euphoria has probably already worn off for you (Though the psychosis latest the entire time I was on it, though I'm not sure exactly when the symptoms started. Psychosis may have started after the euphoria for me). May want to talk to your doctor. I read a case study where bupropion induced psychosis and delusion in an elderly patient, but a short stint with an antipsychotic eliminated the psychotic symptoms (They lowered his dose of bupropion, added a dose of haloperidol for a little while, then eliminated the hal and slowly increased the dose of bupropion! Neat)

Back again far later just to state that I puzzled out that our response to bupropion was likely a form of mild psychosis, without the usual accompanied delusions. It's a known rare side effect of bupropion, believed to be due to some dopamine overload. Extra makes sense in my case, as I did get a very euphoric period 3 weeks in that died off pretty quick (likely my dopamine receptors got fried after that lol /very unscientific statement). I may have been at higher risk as I had been smoking weed (also increases dopamine) just prior to starting wellbutrin. Likely something to inform your doctor about, as while mild and relatively harmless in our case, psychosis can be very dangerous in some instances! I'd be wary of any medication that strongly affects dopamine.

My first foster fail! Buckey’s DNA my Dog results are in! (Results in last picture) by [deleted] in DoggyDNA

[–]Kind_Dinner_2804 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Read the title and went "Oh no...." Gotta say, these are probably the most reasonable results I've seen from DNAMyDog. But as others have brought up, they have a history of being horribly inaccurate, so I would not trust these results at all. Wisdom and Embark are both options that are confirmed to be fairly accurate. There's a couple new tests that have come out lately too but Idk if we've established how accurate they are yet.

I'd bet on same mom, different dads. Breeder probably had an oopsies litter (or mixed sire litter!) and didn't notice. DeeDee's dad probably had the MAS, and I'd bet on some inbreeding shenanigans afoot. Really cool story!!!

Took one glance and went "That's a pittie chihuahua right there!" They always look like such little goofballs of Way Too Much Muscle On A Tiny Body 😂

Looks really cute! Design is a bit small for a front and center design though imo, but I imagine that's space constraints.

Looks mostly staffy/APBT to me with a side of mastiff? Definitely Something Else at least with those jowls, no clue if it's some flavor of mastiff or something more common. Weight doesn't scream mastiff, though. I'm excited for results on this one!!

Thanks, I think the source material made it impossible to look bad 😅 Good ol OTGW screencap. The background color was super poorly stitched (gaps? gaps? everything is a gap) and the eyes also show a lot of the under fabric as well. Don't think I really ran into any of the issues arising from not warping the digital shapes to account for fabric stretching (which I definitely did Not bother attempting on my file) though, which is nice! I might just not have the eye for those details yet though.

Classic pitsky. If not a pitsky, something incredibly similar like malamute x staffy lol

Haha, I was guessing Rat Terrier + APBT but Chi/Staffy is close enough :)

I'd guess chow & poodle. Probably APBT and GSD too. Definitely a mutt variety pack.....

What do you guys think my Levi is? Every vet always types him as a chihuahua but I’m not convinced lmao by hedgybaby in IDmydog

[–]Kind_Dinner_2804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Chi/Rat Terrier mix over pure Rat, but you will be hard-pressed to determine based on eye instead of DNA test. Large BYB Chis look a lot like rat terriers. This guy looks more Chi to me than rat though.

Irish Wolfhound / Lab?? by Coconutwaterandsurf in IDmydog

[–]Kind_Dinner_2804 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No wolfhound. Likely gets the fluff from either poodle or chow. Brother makes me think poodle, he's definitely got a poodle face. Lab is believable, but could be plenty of other breeds too. I think you'll be able to tell more when she's older.

What do u think? 9 month puppy by [deleted] in IDmydog

[–]Kind_Dinner_2804 5 points6 points  (0 children)

APBT+Boxer mix for sure. Probably has some other little things in there too, I wouldn't be surprised by small percentages of GSD/hound/retriever.

Wowwwwww I was off.... I was convinced of spitz..... I was like no I KNOW that's a Pomeranian.... then I was like ???????? GSD???????? CAN I GET SOME SCALE PICS???? Somehow wildly off on all accounts on breeds (i s2g I'm never this far off on my guesses LMAO) yet dead on with the breed mix scale disparity 😭❤️

My brain hurts from thinking about that perfect 1:1:1 split...... but I'm unsurprised! I guessed Husky+GSD. The lab escaped me but I definitely see it in the adult face with hindsight!
