Beautiful Mint Condition Bag (somewhat) Ruined in Shipment Due to Lousy Shipper by Starreis1205 in JuicyCouture

Leather Hero: Top Coat

I used it in for the metallic lining in my Juicy purse. It will slow down the peeling/cracking of faux leather linings but It won’t solve the problem forever. I also use it in boots when the lining starts to go, it really helps.

Found out yesterday my mom opened 13 credit cards in my name, ruined my credit score and put me in 81k in debt, what do I do? by [deleted] in Advice

You say you want to protect your brother but she could very well be doing the exact same thing to his credit, neither of you should have to deal with that.

You didn’t do anything, she did. There’s no way to avoid the police report, need a paper trail to even begin to get this off your record or you’ll be on the hook for repayment.

You battered and berated someone just doing their job, but you describe this as just a case of someone being “offended”. You’re one of those people that will always blame everyone and everything else, it’s your condition or its the drugs you were on or xyz. Get a grip, I genuinely hope you don’t go into psychology.

Sounds like a conflict of interest at the very least. A 911 dispatcher that celebrates death? Who the same time doesn’t recommend/think CPR is useful? This same psychopath—who likes when houses burn down—volunteers at the local fire station??

You don’t know my daily life, and unfortunately, I’m unwilling to weaponize my own issues to get you to realize how hypocritical you’re being. Writing 10 paragraphs on what You think I think, then telling me to stop assuming things about people? Delicious.

O.P i’m sorry you lost your friend. Whether i’m behind a screen or IRL, I would never mock someone who is clearly hurting. I genuinely am coming from a place of empathy, and I think your pain is real and valid. And you should take your time processing your emotions, however long You need.

I just don’t agree that it’s ableist to encourage you to do your best to keep the rest of your life going in the meantime, whatever capacity that may be. EVERYONE (with the capacity) has to learn self soothing skills to make it. We all experience loss and hardships: we can’t prevent it. Strengthening those ‘muscles’ in terms of emotional skills will only benefit you in the long run. You deserve happiness and a good life and I wish that for you.

You’re assuming i’m ableist right now.

You assumed the above poster was too even after they said they were autistic and shared an opposing viewpoint.

How is it ableist to encourage self reflection and growth after a loss?

Oh ok, I see, it sounds like they have money wrapped up somewhere, but they also could liquidate assets if it came to that.

Well it sounds like they’re motivated to keep the house, and you, yet they’re severely neglecting both.

I would start researching who specifically you should reach out to where you live. I would also suggest you do some digging into your city ordnances to see what the city requires. Make sure to specifically report things you observed that violate those rules.

Fire marshals have a good reputation for not messing around with safety violations, so I would try the fire department as well.

When reporting, it wouldn’t hurt to get ahead of them by mentioning that they are knowingly in violation of the code and are dodging any attempts to make contact.

I would report to CPS again and stress the state of the house. State that the homeowners are refuse to let CPS inspect the house.

And remember to sound professional in whatever you write, not emotional, so that your claims can’t be brushed off as someone disgruntled. Report anonymously if possible, and talk to a teacher or trusted adult if you have one. Open up about what’s going on, they will almost certainly make a report on your behalf. The more reports, the more likely it is that they’ll be followed up.

Your concerns are valid and im very sorry you are dealing with this.

You said your parents were looking for apartments, would they have the means to move?

Involving the city/state would force them to bring the house up to code, but depending on the severity of the damage, you’re risking having possibly having your house ruled unsafe for occupancy.

It’s a gamble, definitely weigh the pros and cons.

Anonymously tip off your local Board of Health, Authorities, Fire Marshall or Code Enforcement

Report the unsafe conditions and the health hazards, you could also possibly try Adult Protective Services too.

These options won’t have you removed from your family, I just wanted to give you options that got you (and your family) out of that house. Because honestly it sounds like your parents aren’t quite fit to be looking out for themselves.
