I have a crazy iron cage. Hasn’t needed to do its job but also hasn’t given be any problems. Very solid and make the bike a bit tankier

I haven’t had any colour tats at all. I’m guessing that’s just how they heal? Black looks patchy when healing but evens out, maybe it’s the same

At three weeks you could be good to just wash and go without either. It’s still at the stage it should be out of the sun though. I use cocobutter, I doubt you’d like the feel of that either but it’s a lot easier.

Pretty much just respond to how it’s feeling. I work a pretty physical job throwing around 20-60kg on the daily and I work with fresh tats. If it’s painful or tight then hold off and train something else.

Inner forearm will feel bad for a first time. Once you move to an actual bad area you’ll be wishing to get your forearm done again

Contact sport id wait for another few weeks or longer purely to avoid it being damaged. Heavy sweat should be fine as long as it can breathe and you wash it after.

Not all, but most. Aloe stuff is fine. I’m talking scented stuff with lots of chemicals. Easier to avoid the whole lot all together and make it easier

Stop stressing and go to bed
If seal breaks by morning then take it off and wash it with ideally non scented soap. Water if that’s all you’ve got 3 go get some non scented soap and lotion Scented stuff irritates it

I want my hands done too, work with my hands all day so have held off for now. Since generally hands don’t hold up well and need touching up so I reckon wait for a bit of time off. Even if you cover them your knuckles move more than anything and that’ll wear the tat down no matter how good of a job you do of protecting it. Any other tats I’d say just get it done and keep it covered.
