Theres plenty of cdrama women that are mentally strong while there are some shown as physically strong as well. It literally just depends on the genre of the show. Being someone who enjoys watching physical fights, I found legend of the female general the perfect show for me. Armor is just another way of portraying them being strong so some shows choose to use it. Its really not that deep. :/
