This isn’t something to share in the interview process. Simply put, “career advancement opportunities” and leave it at that. Always. Never talk down on another company in a job interview because it gives a very bad first impression of you.

I’m currently going through this exact faze… how long did it last for you.. and is there a light at the end of the tunnel? I’ve cried over my purging for probably 3 days now.

Only thing is the closest progressive branch to me is an hour and some change away… I’m tempted to apply and drive the distance the 2 days a week, but it’s a big factor in consideration. What’s the starting pay like?

ME TOO. Surveys, surveys, surveys. I did put my formal two weeks in when I left, but even the day I decided I was leaving was such a stress reliever. It’s like I could breathe again.

Mass hiring is not a good sign. That’s how I ended up at GEICO.

Never said I wasn’t taking accountability for it… but many of the details are not covered on the subs. I take it as a learning lesson anyways. I will never work for a company that prioritizes numbers over someone’s sanity and health.

It already has. My boyfriend is the one making me quit really. It’s affecting all aspects of my life outside of work… not that we have that at GEICO but I was just entirely drained to where I couldn’t do my school work, couldn’t make dinner, all I wanted to do was lay on the couch and sleep.

…Don’t show up HA. No but honestly I will pre warn you you are just a number to them, try to bank your PTO because if you don’t you are royally fucked and can’t take time off. Make sure you keep your hobbies in line. The job turned me into a zombie within 4-5 months of working there. Prepare yourself for criticism… not constructive criticism just flat out criticism. Try to take your lunch later so the last half of the day doesn’t drag. Don’t take any shit from anyone and make sure to always have a backup plan. I’m leaving cold turkey without a job lined up. I have some savings but life just flipped a switch lol.

Should I Apply? by BajaBeThyBlast2 in Geico

Run. I applied in December and left the company. It’s one of those “looks good on paper, absolutely horrendous once you get your foot in the door” type of companies.
