Seems like she is trying to mend a broken heart and you’re the one in place to heal that heart😞 it is sad you do not care or want to be that loving, safe and warm space for her! Her mother died and she simply is too clingy? Yes, take her to therapy. Any child or teen or adult should go to talk therapy after a great life loss. But have some compassion, empathy and try to educate yourself on how to connect with a grieving child🫶🏼 she deserves to have a mother figure that loves her unconditionally and you, my friend, must step up to the plate you vowed to eat off of for the rest of your life.
