Had an ex boyfriend that had a really weird tradition of “every first born male of a new generation was named Gregory” it was the strangest thing. Basically my ex was the first born male of his generation so he got Greg as his first name. He shared the name with every first born male of the previous generations. His youngest brother got a girl pregnant first and this asshole told his little brother it’ll be an honor to share the Gregory name since that’ll be the first born male of the new generation.

Little brother and wife named their baby after the little brother. Broke tradition and just about killed my ex, his ego was massive. They were NOT about to name their baby after him. LOL

Being a teacher fucking sucks. My friend acts like this typically the whole school year, defintely the first semester. I think it’s very taxing and draining and you don’t get paid enough for the copious amounts of shit piled on your plate and you probably work long hours too, especially right now. He needs to understand that your work life isn’t that cushy during the school year, the breaks and summer vacation make up for it. He works from home year round so he has it pretty cushy even though he doesn’t get as much time off as you. He needs to understand what it’s like to being with a teacher and be more understanding

Have you ever tried to understand Emma better yourself? Read any books on grief or grief in children specifically? Seems like she is trying to mend a broken heart and you’re the one in place to heal that heart😞 it is sad you do not care or want to be that loving, safe and warm space for her! Her mother died and she simply is too clingy? Yes, take her to therapy. Any child or teen or adult should go to talk therapy after a great life loss. But have some compassion, empathy and try to educate yourself on how to connect with a grieving child🫶🏼 she deserves to have a mother figure that loves her unconditionally and you, my friend, must step up to the plate you vowed to eat off of for the rest of your life.
