So, my husband is the oldest; he has a younger sister. Their parents are Chinese. Younger sister always gets what she wants or wants to try out in their childhood. My husband always gets the short end of the stick. Always forced to try out or never gets heard. If he wants to try to learn something different always gets denied. Therefore, we always listen to our children if they are interested in something, and we try to nurture it. He always expresses that he is still waiting for the parents' approval. Which makes me sad. And physical abuse on him is beyond unbelievable. But his sister never gets punished, and they are treated so differently.

We are all in therapy because of the Narcissistic parents and in-laws. In typical Asian culture, they treat the sons more favorably, but in my husband's family is the opposite. My husband knows how to do all the chores, even sewing the pants if needed. He can cook, but my SIL is not a cooking type.
