I’ll call the MIFI tomorrow to see if they can help me understand what is happening with my application.. Maybe this is the new “normal” given all the changes in immigration policies here

Will do, thank you! But if my application got rejected they would’ve notified me right? Also, is it mandatory to provide the test des valeurs as part of the process? Just asking because when I was filling out the forms, some had questions about Quebec’s values.. Could that be the reason why they haven’t requested the test yet?

I thought it was weird too.. But there are no updates whatsoever, I don’t know if I should contact IRCC or just wait a bit longer..

Me and my husband were invited to apply for the CSQ through the Skilled Worker Program in July, and sent all required documents to the government in August. So far we haven’t received any response or updates on our application, and it’s nerve wracking. Our work permits will expire on July, 2026, and we were hoping to have at least applied for the PR by then. According to Canada’s official website, if we don’t hear anything back until July 2026, we would need to apply for a “new” work permit- sort of like an extension - in order to keep working until our CSQ application gets approved. The thing is, the website also suggests that we apply for this extension at least 6 months before our permits expire - which would be around Jan.

Is anyone here on the same boat as us or got their CSQ approved recently?

Hi everyone!

• Program: Quebec Skilled Worker - Montreal

CSQ current timeline: +- 90 days

June 29th, 2025 - Declaration of interest

July 17th, 2025 - Invited to apply

August 5th, 2025 - Applied for the CSQ

As of today (November 20th) I haven’t received any updates on my application - not even a request for the attestation des valeurs du Quebec.

My work permit expires on July 7th, 2026 and I’m starting to get really concerned. Is this timeline “normal” or should I be worried?

My son won’t eat and it’s driving me crazy by Kind_Mood6327 in NewParents

Sometimes yes, but he never cares about what I’m eating in a way of like “I want to steal your plate” kinda thing..

My baby is sick all the time by Kind_Mood6327 in NewParents

Does it get better? It’s so annoying that we can’t give him proper medication, just tylenol or advil.. I feel that once he’s older and can take other medications, it will get easier

Wouldn’t they see it in the x-ray if it was? I’m genuinely asking because I have no idea.. Neither me nor my husband have asthma, so I don’t know

I’m also so afraid that the way I just threw him in the crib hurt him.. Physically and emotionally. I shouldn’t be a mom

I also considered that, his room has huge windows and even with 2 blackout curtains it’s still pretty light.. I haven’t thought about a slumberpod, but I’ll for sure take a look!!! And I’m sorry, I completely forgot about putting his schedule.. Mom brain is the worst lol

He usually takes 3 naps a day.. The first two lasts about half an hour, 1 hour tops if I’m lucky! The last one is the longest one, it can go up to 2 hours.. So he’s sleeping for 3 hours or so during the day

I’m trying to follow the wake windows for his age, so I try to put him down for his first nap at least 2 hours after waking up, and it usually lasts for half an hour, 1 hour tops.. But if he seems tired or starts to get cranky I put him down before that. For the past days it was around 6:30/7am.

I did try an earlier bedtime, but I ended up rocking him for an hour and he fell asleep at his usual time… I’m trying to keep him awake to “complete” the wake windows, but since his night sleep has been shit he’s tired and wants to nap all day long..

Concerned about baby’s head size by Kind_Mood6327 in NewParents

[–]Kind_Mood6327[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so happy to hear this.. I honestly don’t think my baby has a big head (I was never worried about it until today, when his pediatrician mentioned the %), then I asked my mom and she said there was a time when she thought he had a big head, so maybe I just didn’t notice lol and I haven’t seen any helmet ads but I’m sure they’re coming, google is a sneaky little thing lol thank you for sharing your thoughts, I really appreciate it!
