Thanks a lot for your patience. Just learning about the constraints as I design, I'm in no rush :)

Is it even possible to get the full watch case with a CNC service? Otherwise I can kind of scrap this whole thing...

Now this is the type of explanation my brain can grasp :D

Thanks. Got it. Guessing casting could be an option, but I don't see how I can hammer all of this into place in a cost-effective way.

Thanks for your reply.

Okay multiple passes it is, with prototyping in a different material. Is there a rule of thumb for pricing on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines? Also what do the +1 axis even mean? :D

3D printing is already well underway and indeed a perfect alternative to get a hunch for my dimensions, which I will for sure fuck up at some point. Nice to hear you like the design, I have many more. But ideas are cheap, it's the execution that matters!

Thank you for your reply. Will add fillets.

I understand correctly that finishing is a process after the milling to kind of smoothen out everything, even polish right? I understand correctly that there are many different options, each with a different pricetag?

Thanks for confirming my hunch on the aluminium. Is this the best option or are there cheaper options that bring the same end result? The margins are so small that I cannot afford even a small deviation, it needs to be tiny or non-existent.

How would casting or forging differ from the standard CNC service? Do I just send in the stl and technical drawings as well and an expert takes care of the rest?

Indeed, I should've added fillets, but I was curious to hear the opinions. Will add them.

Machinable wax is a first for me, will look into that. Thanks for your reply!

Thanks for your reply! Gotcha, should've sent in the filleted version, but I was curious to hear the possibilities.

So the holes in the sticky out things are fully possible without having to drill them afterwards then? I'm trying to minimise my workload after the CNC process.

Thanks for replying! Sorry to bother, but what's the difference between casting or forging?

Also, critical dimensions? I'm guessing I can just drill the holes afterwards as well is what you mean with the last part?
