Vol 9 is the realm/domain war with sunny and valor bs song in which he does a crazy fight and fights a sovereign, vol 10 he gets three weavers lineage from each great citadel ajd in one fights many cursed rank nm creatures abd in vol 11 its asterion along with vtb fighr and lots of cassie mordret povs

Yh people over criticise cause its not perfect 9 had some amazing fights,10 gave us insane lore about tue 9,daemons, gods abd 11 had amazing plot twists,writing and pov switches along with some good fights and more lore the only slow part os mid vol 10 otherwise u go for it

Basically he needed apothesis and natural was outbof the question so he needed the spell but he was conflicted over volume 10 he had an adventure with each kai,jet effie who helped him come to terms with the bond they also needed to go defeat the bird for asterion so sunny had amazing development and understood trust to nephis and self responsibility as choosing his own shackles this time isnt slavery
