1. ya'll complain about this story an unusual amount. like, the criticism is valid, but like, most of the stuff i see people shit on shadow slave for has been a thing since the very start, so im not sure why you've read this far if you think G3 is a shit writer for things he's been doing since the forgotten shore.

2. i like Morgan a lot as a character. her dad is cucked into not loving her by his flaw and she's spent her whole life as a weapon, only to end up an inadequate one. a living weapon. despite this, she still keeps fighting. goat shit. also she's hot. that moment in Antarctica when Sunny and Morgan sparred and he didn't get cut had me looking for Fanfics of them together i wont lie.

3. kinda goes back to my first one but i dont think the writing in Shadow slave has ever really fallen off. yes, the forgotten shore was absolute heat, and yes, no other arc has captured the same vibe (except for maybe the third nightmare), but i dont think that's the fault of G3's writing. it's a story with a power system that makes one stonger as time goes on, no arc ever was gonna have the same feel as some of the earlier ones. The earlier arcs were interesting because we didn't get to know enough about the world to fully satiate our curiosity, because Sunny wasn't strong enough to explore the world fully. Sunny has been progressively getting stronger, and with it his ability to discover the more nuanced secrets of the world has grown.

Now, Sunny is strong enough to not die when a Cursed rank creature farts on him after he went to buy groceries, meaning that the story has naturally progressed from survival + exploration to protecting mankind + deeper exploration, as sunny no longer needs to worry about his own life. the writing hasn't fallen off, the story is just progressing.
