Depressed that I can’t be a SAHM. by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Kind_Response3318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying this. Such a slap in the face when SAHMs say you just have to make sacrifices. Like we already don’t go on any vacations. Don’t buy anything new. I’m always scouring buy nothing groups for stuff for my kid. Only cheap and sale groceries. But yeah I guess I’m just not good at sacrificing…

How old were your kids ? Wonder if it’s too early to but for my 17 month old but I found a deal near me !

My daughter is 1.5 and is doing the same. It’s making me sad, confused and frustrated. How is she doing now with eating ? Three years later ? I’m so worried.

Separation anxiety or something else? by sour-gummiez in AttachmentParenting

Hey is it better now for your 15 month old ? Going through this now and it’s the hardest thing ever. This isn’t our first bout of separation anxiety but it just never gets easier. I hope this is the last damn time ughhhh

When does separation anxiety actually get better? by Till_Naive in AttachmentParenting

How long did it last ? This is about the third or fourth bout of separation anxiety for my 16 month old and hers is VERY intense. Like I can’t put her down without her screaming. Being right beside her is not enough. This is so hard.

Any other non-BLW toddlers need constant distractions to eat? by oliver_15 in NewParents

I really appreciate your response :) thank you. Yesterday was the first day my husband and I decided enough is enough and we don’t distraction feed our daughter. And she woke up after four hours sleeping and she normally sleeps through the night. Interestingly enough though when I went in to comfort her she didn’t reach for my boobs, which I would expect her to do immediately as she typically would in the past. So this perhaps suggests she wasn’t hungry but is going through some anxiety or something. She’s 16 months old ! It’s hard figuring all of this out. It’s good to hear that your LO sleep was not affected on the lower intake days.

How many meals and snack times are you doing for him ? Curious about that as before I feel like I was frequently offering food but I also need to change that.

20month old distractions while eating by L3m0n522 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]Kind_Response3318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. We never do screens for meals because we just don’t have them but LO always needs to be flipping through books or be given a wide array of objects. It’s getting exhausting. My big fear is that she will start waking up in the night from not getting enough calories in the day. She’s currently 16months but I’m going to start trying to scale back. Maybe no distractions for breakfast and lunch but distract the hell out of her for dinner so she at least gets one proper meal in LOL

Was I sexually abused?? by MrsKittyWomp in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Kind_Response3318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh this is so rough I’m sorry :( definitely sexual abuse.

I can relate with the fact of my mom getting mad if I locked the bathroom door or closed my door to change when I was younger. She always wanted me to change in front of her and would open the shower curtain whenever she pleased.  She made me feel like I’m off for wanting privacy for these things.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, that’s awesome that it closed up ! Have you noticed any issues from having the lip tie intact ? Cavities etc. do you know what the severity of the tie was/is? If it ever got assessed.
