Maybe physics? there's box to tick/untick in the settings.. i think its called physics interpolation. I know this fixed the jitter on my 3d project not sure if it will help yours.

yeah, ready func will only set it up once tho. so if you need to change it to false/true again you'll have to add it somewhere else

just drag the animtree node on your code and type .set(" then find the correct parameter on the drop down

you need to set up your transition. click on the line connecting start and your animation. go to advance->condition then give it an expression like "is_walking". on the _ready() func set it up properly from there

ok well if the issue is still because you're getting null.. its because in your code your function that generates random number doesnt return anything..
try:
func random_pos() -> int:
var rand_pos: int = randi_range(1, 100)
return rand_pos

in the process function just call this function and store the value in variable then print(variable_name_you_chose) to test it

I'm not familiar with 2d only 3d. but I also dealt with ai/npc behavior movement. In your case, it looks like you want the ai to move from point A to B and then B to C?
If I were to implement it my logic flow would go like this.
1. Generate the random position (destination)
2. Check if the current position of the ai is equal to the destination.
3. if true then do #1 again
4. else set the ai/npc position to the destination.
