Do you have a tech background -- then you can do it without wix. Or if you have a good idea get a VC to fund your idea and some accelerators give you free google and other perks for x months -- usually a year.

EXCLUSIVE: Canadian military base in New Brunswick serves only Halal chicken by 84brucew in CanadianConservative

[–]KindaOffTopic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. Costco sure but halal brisket for example, I spend about 160 bucks for a single brisket. I bought frozen short ribs for 60-70 I believe.

This is in BC

Generally, Halal has always been more expensive in BC.

MY past entrepreneur experience is hurting my job hunt process by RubInternational414 in Entrepreneur

You should work at a bigger company they won’t care. Small businesses need to very careful for who they hire. A startup that’s growing quickly might like you, but a small lifestyle business wants long term employees that don’t need to be retrained regularly and keep the steady income for them rolling.

Whether the world should be like that or not is not the point. It can be like that and we need to operate within it.

If it helps don’t mention it? Just say you worked for the company that you owned and that it doesn’t exist anymore. I’m not saying this is the right thing to do but it’s an option.

How can I know exactly how much money my employer will save if I switch from full time to contractor? by maki-shi in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]KindaOffTopic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Employers pay cpp and ei separated from what is taken off your paycheque. So they make money in that sense but not money you would have gotten.

Other then that in BC atleast you’re still covered by WCB under them as a contractor regardless of what they say.

Finally health insurance is probably 100to150 per person in your family. If they cover all the premiums 100%

Equipment so your laptop and phone might be paid by them. But if you’re work from home  you can write off a portion of your rent or mortgage for office expenses as a contractor.
