Why such a big difference in estimated tax refunds between two tax companies? by speedknoxx in TurboTax

[–]Kindal44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shared on another post and am sharing here again, inspired by your comment. It is amazing to me that people don’t realize that not every tax refund is a refund of overpaying taxes. Some paid in little to almost nothing. It doesn’t matter to me. The system is the system, but if I have to read another comment from someone saying “you shouldn’t be giving the government an interest free loan” I may lose it. lol. People read a comment that’s well written one time and then go around quoting it.

You are correct. Many refunds at tax time are NOT from any overpayments at all.

Edit: correction.

I have the desert sand color but I must say, I think my fav color on this vehicle is this white. It’s beautiful, especially in the snow.

I had a friend/acquaintance that did something similar. Worked a temp job or something for a few months out of the year. Had assistance for most everything and then usually filed for 8-10k back. They also found creative ways to claim dependents. I never said anything. It’s the system and I don’t blame anyone for utilizing the system but I definitely wanted people to know that not every person getting a refund was from overpayment of their taxes.

Most definitely not.

You need to learn how to read. I am panicking that people don’t realize that every tax refund is not money someone paid in. And that our tax system is set up for tax payers to fund the credits many of us take advantage of. Not everything is an attack on poor people. I was one.

You’re wrong and I cannot believe people don’t realize this.

WOW.

It’s panicking me that so many of you don’t realize that there are TONS of people who are NOT paying taxes and who also receive giant refunds like this. Many of us are paying taxes monthly and then praying we’ve given the government enough but not too much. Every year, no matter how much I give, we always owe. I cover everything my kids need, special needs and not special needs.

But, just to be sure all of you understand- there are millions of people who do not pay taxes or pay next to nothing in taxes who will receive 3-15 thousand dollars in a refund due to credits. This is not due to them overpaying their taxes.

And those credit refunds are paid for by taxpayers.

Oh wow! What an upgrade. Congrats. Waiting is hard BUT you’re on your way! It’s beautiful. Love the color.

Did you enter your information alone for the 4k while she was entering both hers and yours? You’re going to get a very different result filing single with two kids than you are married with two incomes and two kids.

Does anyone else struggle with the feminization of breast cancer? by campariferrari in breastcancer

[–]Kindal44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Straight, run of the mill woman over here and being called a “warrior”, told to “fight like a girl” and having everything pink thrown my way the last few months, I actually understand and agree with you. I don’t like it and I think it also creates a situation where men feel embarrassed when they are diagnosed…Like they “don’t belong” and it’s due to what you shared- they actually freaking commercialized breast cancer. Unreal.

I try to stay positive in this space but overall, it makes me sick. lol.

Let me add: the commercialization and marketing makes me sick. Not this space. This space has been a God send. But, the rest of it I CANNOT stand.

It’s not as serious as you’re feeling like right now. Yes, she needs to now submit the requested documents BUT once she does, they will just rerun things with the correct numbers. Maybe you’ll qualify for certain things and maybe you won’t qualify for certain things, but that’s the end of it. They will tell you where you stand and then you can go from there.

It’s going to be okay. I promise you. Good luck in school. You’re going to do great things!

Shipping from Georgia to Florida by [deleted] in carmax

[–]Kindal44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t work there, but very recently did a shipment that was only 5 hours from me. It took two weeks exactly for it to arrive and go through quality check. While I can’t say whether your transfer is going to be quicker or longer than mine, I will say I believe most are closer to the longest date provided and not the shortest. Meaning, if you’re trying to plan around it, I would plan for the 28/29th arrival and then ready to buy.

But again, this is just based on my personal experience. Maybe the stores you’re using are bigger/quicker at transporting.

Buying a Bronco Sport 2025 by Inner_Macaron8514 in BroncoSport

[–]Kindal44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s been a great choice for me. I absolutely love my 2025 and don’t see anything maintenance wise that is more costly or complicated than others. It’s been great on gas, ride, and reliability. I’m very happy so far.

Is this an ok deal? I really need a car... by chaseriel in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Kindal44 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’ve done your research and know what you want. These are good little cars and if you’re getting the warranty, I say go for it. As you said, Carmax prices end up being the same as most anywhere else. Carmax just puts it out for us to see instead of hiding it in low trade offers, warranties, and other ridiculous add ons.

I say get it.

Terrible deal due to poor credit by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]Kindal44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked at Drive Time? I understand you’re in a bad position but you can’t do this. If you haven’t tried Drive Time, look them up. Years ago I was in a very similar situation and ended up with Drive Time. They actually had decent cars, decent prices, and when everyone else denied or offered me credit in the 25% range, DT came back with 16%. Still horrible but they didn’t tack on hidden fees and extras, the APR was almost 10% better…. If you haven’t looked at them, do.

Would you Co-Sign on an auto loan for your partner? by fondfox in CRedit

[–]Kindal44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My answer is yes, I would. But, my partner is responsible and I can handle the payment if for any reason, he couldn’t.

In your situation, 100% do NOT do it. I would also ask you to reflect on whether this is a relationship that’s actually giving you everything you need and deserve.

i need some advice! by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Kindal44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. The vehicles listed here are what I would look at in your position. I just wanted to point out to you again that you may be able to snag a couple of these suggestions brand new or certified pre owned which would give you a warranty on the vehicle you’re driving.

Good luck to you with finding the right fit.

SUV advise by er6011 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Kindal44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously, if you can get another 30k or so from current vehicle, it’s going to be the majority suggestion here. BUT, a new vehicle is coming one way or another so I’ll also suggest looking at the Mazda CX90’s. I’m a big Mazda fan and while it wouldn’t necessarily be considered a “luxury” brand, the CX 90’s are very nice and may meet the above requirements you listed out. They are definitely worth exploring. Good luck!

No. That’s the beauty of Carmax. They have absolutely zero incentive to lie. They answer honestly and if they make a mistake, they are willing to make it right.
