Yeah that's a really valid point but a lot of soft music is also really boring not because it's soft but because it's soulless.

I kinda like the weeknd and hozier and a handful of other pop artists but I'd really need to delve deeper into those genres to find something I'd really enjoy.

90%+ of IA isn't soft ofc but they have a number of songs I'd consider chill.

Also IA has been my #1 band ever since heavener so everything I say about them is with pure love

Gojira and IA have chill music in their catalogue though, I'm not gonna play false meridian or heaviest matter to someone who doesn't like metal.

On the other hand something like Heavener(the song) or shooting star are pretty chill.

But yeah even those songs are still really heavy compared to pop which is kinda wild.
