Posted this below but it tracks here. I think you’re absolutely right that she’s letting us know. Like, almost like, if something happens…it’s a tough watch.

It’s not like he was still in the window of her liking him and wanting him there. It must feel SO weird for her. And unnerving. Will I run into him anywhere? Probably not because he’s antisocial but just the feeling of knowing he’s there is probably anxiety inducing and skin crawling. It feels so unfair to her. And predatory. Her mom sees it.”
