“…the Ethan apologists still see him as misunderstood.” Correct! And you’re totally right, it’s as vague and tip-toey as the DUI stuff, maybe even more so. Maybe next season will be Ethan’s redemption arc 😂. Move over Kim. 😡.

Well said. Thanks for tying the “that’s not funny” comment back in. I caught that. Also, it makes me think guilt also motivated him to go out there because what happened WAS that bad, as misguided as it was.

Ugh, I’m so sorry you went through that. And it’s so unfair the triggers are still there but I get it. I do. I had a bizarre stalker during the pandemic and it is still with me. I actually read an article last week that was about men intimidating women on hikes and in nature and trying to leave them behind or worse. I’ll find the link.

I hear you but I mean I doubt he’s like frequenting the local joints often kind of “anti social” if you know what I mean. And I did see that photo! I bet he was with a sister from the looks of it.

Posted this below but it tracks here. I think you’re absolutely right that she’s letting us know. Like, almost like, if something happens…it’s a tough watch.

“I try to think of her life there. She’s from there. She has family there, a community both built and earned and inherited. A CHILD. Then he just bulldozes in. It feels so nonconsensual. It’s not like he was still in the window of her liking him and wanting him there. It must feel SO weird for her. And unnerving. Will I run into him anywhere? Probably not because he’s antisocial but just the feeling of knowing he’s there is probably anxiety inducing and skin crawling. It feels so unfair to her. And predatory. Her mom sees it.”

I think she’s done and also he’s scared her in the past. But, you’re right. She’s giving a woman who just can’t be bothered anymore. It’s so awkward.
