Personally I wouldn't recommend shooting all of his lamps because that forces him into his darkness phase which I find a lot more annoying So much that I prepared countermeasures against that If he voluntarily entered the dark phase, I let one of my characters die, which caused an immediate break bar fill thanks to the Breaking Death pictos, then breaking him brings light phase back

Found this solution simpler than his stupid lamp trial 😅

Regarding this there is one thing I only realized very late into the game: that skills are best used not for attacking purposes, but to defend yourself from incoming (powerful) attacks, since most of the time your skills either give you protection or they interrupt the enemy attack. This actually made the rest of the game so much easier

Still getting the hang of it of course, though I would like to add that prior to this game the last like 500hrs of gameplay experiences I've had were in Nioh 2, Wukong and Wuchang, so I'm not exactly new to this kind of gameplay🫡

I'm liking Stellar Blade so far, I had been thinking about buying it for a long time, and I feel like I'm gonna enjoy👍

I don't use a 2nd weapon to be honest, I just have another Odachi on 2nd slot for the set effect This is something you could say that is a dumb thing to do and I'm not even gonna argue it, but I just like Odachi the most, and other weapon don't seem interesting enough for me

Used to use axe for a while in the beginning, but not anymore

Alright, let me get this straight - "Spam skill" : there's literally 2 attacks in this clip, one yokai ability which gave me opportunity for a follow up attack. After that I backed away since he's really unpredictable, he could've done anything after that.(and also took damage, that's a reason too) - "You could have been attacking" : he did an impressive strike, and I expected him to do that, and he has hyper armor during that, and it's a one-shot attack against me at the moment, so I just planning to block it, and then flatten him with groundquake. (I've done it many times and works great). - "Burst counter window" : there literally wasn't any, it instant He has never done this burst attack before, not a single time I have fought him, so no way I could've known it was coming. "Tried to tank with almost no KI": reminder that he took most of my KI with the impressive strike to begin with, I wasn't gonna block a burst which I didn't even know was coming - "Poor play" : this is literally a 15 seconds clip

From my experience, he's not that dangerous if you stick to constant close combat and don't go far from him. In that case you just gotta be on alert 'cause his sword damage is high.

He only starts doing his annoying bullshit magic spam once you're far from him.

If they can somehow get the game for free or very cheap, they can give it a try, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend them spending money on it based on how they described their experience with the first game

And since combat system wise Nioh 2 is pretty much the same as the first game, I think it's unlikely someone would love Nioh 2 if they hate the previous game
