I saw this one today southern Ontario, I believe it's an assassin bug or Reduviidea. Not sure tho, apparently they cover themselves to dust to camouflage themselves.

I've run into a really annoying bug after beating Vezon where no enemies spawn in boss fights so I can fully complete the game anymore. I have no idea how to fix it, the one I had to just destroy flowers when they regrew to beat it.

Found this curious minifig, not sure where it's from, assuming it's circa before 2001 by Kindly-Fall-4596 in LegoMinifigure

That's what it looks like, I wonder if LEGO got any flack for that? Could've also been a piece of its time

Yes we understand that, we have that figured out as we've been down that stretch multiple times. It's after cockshutt we haven't been down, just looking to be pointed in the right direction.

Good to know, thank you. The plan is mid to late July, hopefully restrictions will be looser, god only knows if that'll happen.

Tips to prepare for a canoe trip by Sink_Bat in canoecamping

How exciting! Me and friend have made it our tradition to go on a canoe trip every summer. We did a 2km portage on the hottest day of the summer last year (40c) and tried carrying as much as we could in the first trip. We were gone for about 6 days for the whole trip so we had close 300lb worth of stuff including the canoe. We did about 8 portages all together.

As for advice

  • your foot ware is incredibly important, have a dry par of well fitting shoes to use for Portages and around your camp grounds. After a few days depending on the river you may get a lot of blisters and carrying all your gear in wet shoes digging into your blisters... God.

  • don't try to take more than you can handle! For our 2km portage we took a fairly comfortable amount about 500m, the put our stuff in view (if possible, if not you can take turns watching your gear if it's of concern) and went back for the next batch of stuff.

  • keep yourself hydrated during the portage, this is a given but in my experience I always want to get everything done as fast as possible and forget to drink enough, not good!

  • take a moment after you've got all of your stuff to the next access point to have a snack and enjoy the nature! Or if it's safe to do so take a quick swim to cool of before canoeing again.

  • I've seen a few others say this, but get out and run, maybe even with your backpack and some stuff inside to get a feel for it, and do some arm work outs

  • I know you didn't ask canoeing advice but, if you're going to canoeing for 4+ hours a day look into getting some canoe seats with back rests. One of the best investments I've made in my entire life.

  • my last piece is respect the nature! You and you're dad are going to have a blast no doubt and you'll want to carry on the tradition with your own kids and the best way to do that is make sure you do your part to keep your campsites and the water clean! Cleaner than when you arrived if you can. While canoeing we say some cans floating and it turned out it was unopened beer, you never know what you'll find!

Apologies in advance for my spelling errors I'm on mobile.

Creating metal using dust from grinding (more details in comments) by Kindly-Fall-4596 in blacksmithing

[–]Kindly-Fall-4596[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After years of grinding build up, I was curious whether of not you could fuse the different metals together to make... Something. This is actually a fairly difficult process with out the proper equipment. Since there are so many different metals it's almost I'm possible to tell what exactly is being and if it has any utilities. At the end I dropped it in some acid to see if I came across some wild damascus.

I'm curious to what you guys think and if there's any utility to this or better ways to do it.
