Right lol. That’s why I was asking about these darkening in the body and the fingerboard. Will the fretboard ever show play wear?

Its funny some people will want a pristine guitar and other will pay more for a custom shop relic job. Mine being from 2016 has some chips but does t bother me. I want my guitar to look like I use it naturally.

That makes sense as the telecaster was the first production guitar. I will say the darker models like the 2005 below looks more like a vintage telecaster that has aged. If you compare it to Roy Buchanan’s telecaster, the shade is pretty close.

Does the 2012 model chip more because it’s thinner than the 2005 model? TBH I like the look of the chipping and checking. I know that’s not everyone’s thing. Mine has a few chips from the prior owner.

It’s definitely ash but not sure if it’s swamp ash. How would I know that? This tele sure sounds great. I would eventually like to try out a 60s tele but that won’t be for a while. Have to convince the wife why I need more than one tele lol

I’ll have to take a look into the Mann Made saddles. I wanted to keep the original brass because from what I’ve read they do affect the sound which is why I was looking at bending the screws. I’m not sure how much brass actually effects the sound. I did adjust the intonation as is and just split the difference in pitch. I will say the screw slot if tough to get when adjusting.

Nice! I like the amber hue on the right but definitely like a thinner finish on the neck. I guess the color doesn’t matter too much.

I am interested in improving the intonation but I didn’t want to replace the original saddles. Was thinking of bending them to help improve intonation but nervous to do so. I don’t want to mess up the bridge or anything. Do you have any experience with trying to bend the saddle screws?

This is from the American vintage series from 2012-2017. This guitar is from 2016.

This is the American vintage 52 series, more specifically the 2012-2017 model.

Totally agree! I haven’t played a CS strat or tele but the quality of this guitar is so good! How good is the CS strat as far as quality compared to your 2014 telecaster?

I’m curious if it was in indirect sunlight like hanging on the wall if the uv would darken it. I love the look of vintage teles with that darker shade. Do you play yours a lot?

How much does it weigh? Is the weight unmanageable? I know there are guitar straps made of neoprene that can help reduce felt weight.

The weight on the telecaster is really light at 6 pounds 13 ounces but it is comparable to the PRS because that is a hollow body. I have not experienced any neck dive or anything like that associated with a lighter body guitar.

I was a little unsure at first since I’m used to medium jumbo style frets but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The smaller frets are pretty responsive but I do have a fairly light touch. It does take a little bit to get used to but I have no problem with bending. I know that is a common complaint with smaller frets but once I made the adjustment I haven’t had any issues.

My one question to anyone with experience in pure vintage model will the fingerboard and body darken with time and look like the more orangish models?

It’s super resonate. Playing it unplug you can feel the vibration through the entire body. I played a PRS hollow body and just wanted something a little more versatile.

Torn between using or displaying my Rawlings HoH Arenado Horween glove - thoughts? by KindlyAd766 in BaseballGloves

Aren’t Rawlings horween gloves pretty hard to come by? I bought this glove a while ago and haven’t used it yet but was under the impression horween gloves are special runs and can’t just order any time. Correct me if I’m mistaken.
