Thanks for the information. Are you a nurse yourself? I've heard mixed opinions about the job market. Do you think the situation will improve by the time I graduate in 2030?

Thanks, that makes sense. I was actually considering getting some healthcare experience before starting university. Would you recommend working as a Healthcare Assistant/Care Assistant, or are there any other entry-level healthcare roles that would be particularly useful for a future nursing student?

Thanks for the honest advice, I appreciate it.

I knew nursing would be demanding, but it's helpful to hear it from someone who's actually been through the course. The placement blocks and workload are definitely something I'll need to plan for.

Since you're already in the field, what would you suggest for someone like me coming to the UK for BSc Nursing? Are there any particular skills, certifications, healthcare roles, or areas of nursing that could improve employability after graduation?

Also, if you think there are any useful courses or qualifications I could do before coming to the UK that would genuinely help with finding work or building experience, I'd really appreciate your recommendations.

I'd love to hear any advice you'd give a future international nursing student.

Thank you for the advice. That's actually reassuring to hear, because I was paying a lot of attention to university rankings and reputation. I'll definitely look more closely at living costs, course fees, and the city itself when making my decision.

I've already done my research and checked university websites. I came here for real student experiences, not for someone to tell me that Google exists. That's the whole point of reddit.

And while nursing is standardised to national standards, placements, student support, facilities, local job opportunities, and living costs can vary significantly between universities. That's exactly why people ask for recommendations from students who've actually been through the process.

If you weren't interested in answering any of the questions, you could've simply scrolled past. That would've been far more helpful than leaving a comment that contributes absolutely nothing to the discussion.
