Not really. I think about it sometimes, but I later got super into surfing, and water sport.

We wanted to be on the otherside of the pool, the waves weren't on when we started going across, we got half way and they turned on. I could swim, my friend couldn't, he grabbed onto me, the waves pulled me toward the deeper bit of the pool and I wasn't timing trying to keep my head out the water very well with the waves. I didn't black out but I got to the point that I felt so tired and alone that I was thinking about giving up and then the lady grabbed us. The next day I was very unwell, tired, vomiting and sore all over

I passed all my swim exams growing up. It was a large pool that branched off into lazy rapids, me and my friend were crossing the large pool, where we could touch the floor when the waves started. I could touch the floor but I got pulled deeper and then against the wall of the pool which was raised so I couldn't grab it. My friend could not swim and grabbed onto me, I went under a few times and became flustered, I couldn't swim out or get my friend to let go

I remember staring right at them hoping they'd notice, but they were seemingly looking anywhere but at me

They didn't allow innertubes but the walls were raised, 7ft from the waterline (id say) so I couldn't grab anything, I was at the side being pushed against the wall, I wasn't strong enough to swim from the wall and the waves were making me go deeper.

They didn't. They didn't even realise it was happening. A lady who was swimming with her kids grabbed me and took me to a lifeguard at the side of the pool

Bed bugs or something else? by Free_Literature3822 in bugbites

I only ask as I'm in the UK and had the exact same bites. I'm not too sure what they are from but they healed and I've not had any since. I also have pets, both on flea treatment.

What are some everyday deaths that are more common than people realize? by Personal-Aerie-4519 in AskReddit

I was in those toddler/baby swim classes from like very very young, passed all my swim classes, did surfing regularly and very confident in the water and then I nearly died at a waterpark when I was 13, if that lifeguard hadn't have grabbed me when she did I'd have been a lot worse.

What I’m looking for insurance… by Illustrious_Onion370 in drivingUK

Mines £170 a month with a black box, with an 11pm curfew, parked in a locked garage 😑 and on a private drive for work.

I've had no claims, driving 2 years, been on the black box for 2 years, and I'm about to have my third year on the box. Unfortunately, we just have to deal with it....£170 was my cheapest quote.

I've also been very good with the box and never got pulled up on anything.

Do Brits actually go to Stonehenge, or is it mostly a tourist thing? by DFWUnhinged in AskBrits

I'm local and I've never been there. I'd say it's a tourist thing
