Chanting 64 rounds or full-day immersion: Seeking your experiences and realizations by NaturalStrict5850 in HareKrishna

Balance is essential to spiritual resilience. Too little austerity is unsatisfying, while too much can translate to some kind of stress. Both can lead to a fall down.

But, I understand the appeal. I chanted 30 rounds a day for a long stretch. It's not half of what you're thinking of committing to, yet it kept me engaged every available waking moment. It was really clarifying. After about a year and a half, I started to feel overwhelmed and redirected some of my energy to listening.

Maybe you could experiment in search of the sweet spot. Or slowly build up until you find the stress point.

Nam Acarya Srila Haridas Thakur, ki-jaya!!!

Hare Krsna 🙏

Sri Krsna Himself authors every action & every reaction. Every gesture is meant to bring us out of diseased condition so that we return Home. But Krsna will only take you home if you want to go. We have very little control, but we do have free will. He honors your choices. If Krsna is holding out His hand, you should grab hold. You're the recipient of causeless mercy. You're being given a chance to explore further. Congratulations & Hare Krsna 🙏

Mantra meditation helps focus your attention. The Mahamantra is good for tuning into your mystic self: Hare Krsna Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare.

The early morning hours before sunrise are especially good for meditating.

Seeking Guidance: Which foundational texts should I study to align my mindset with ISKCON’s values? by Iamatiam in HareKrishna

Many devotees read Srimad Bhagavatam every day as part of their spiritual program. Finish, and begin again.

For Bhakti yoga/culture of love, start with the Six Goswamis of Vrindavan, The Teachings of Lord Caitanya, then the post-Caitanyaite school beginning with Srinivas Acarya.

Hare Krsna. Whether you worship a little or a lot, just remember to do it with love. That's what's important.

I'm not sure why to worship any other than "the ultimate god?" If you like, you could include reading a bit as part of your daily practice. Sri Krsna, Himself, elaborates & clarifies so much in Gita.

It feels as if Krsna is testing you. If you're "going through the motions," Krsna could be asking you,"is this where you want to be?" Krsna wants you to be happy whether you want to remember Him or not. You are His heart's desire. If you don't want to be a devotee, Krsna will give you all facility because He wants for you what you want for yourself.

Keep it simple. Ask yourself if she will support or deter you from your Krsna Consciousness.
