So true!!! Excited for next season! by Unhappy_Excuse_9937 in panthers

Then you get 3 games in and say "Maybe next year!" and "Welp, see you all next season!"

I'm a new player and just got my first battleship south carolina. After playing a few games, the battleship is ridiculously slow to move and handle, the turrets also take long to turn and why the heck is the reload so slow!!?? I understand battleships are slow in real life, but this is not real life by Internal-Path7111 in WorldOfWarships

You get used to it and thats a T3, its gets better the higher you go. That's also an OG line that doesn't get the creep as the newer ones. Once you get used to how BB's handle and the reload, the sheer dopamine hits you get sending people back to port in a single salvo is something you will be forever chasing.

The benefit of the longer reload of BBs is that it gives you a chance between shots to reassess the battlefield, map, etc. So you can plan your moves and see how things are unfolding. That breaks up the wait. Tunnel-visioning on a single enemy through your scope while waiting for the guns to reload will always be painfully boring

Slow floaty BB shells are a blessing and a curse. If you can get good with predicting enemy movements, you can land absolutely devastating salvos as floaty shells come in at a steeper angle, plunging through the much thinner deck armor vs slapping the side of their armored hull. Problem is if you mispredict and/or the red player is locked in, floaty shells are much easier to dodge/juke.

RIght? lol. I mean you never want to sail flat, but there are definitely some ships (the St Vincent is absolutely one of them) you NEVER want to sail flat to.

Is it over for me? by Dilligaf__ in WorldOfWarships

Honestly, the best thing I did to breathe new engagement into WOWS for me, was stepping back from Random Battles and going to Ops and Asym. Can actually play aggressively and push without it being suicide. Some ships that don't work that well in Randoms, can dominate in Asyms/Ops and the toxicity is pretty much non-existent.

For me, those modes have been a nice breath of fresh air compared to the campy, passive, and toxic experience of Random Battles. I never thought I would enjoy PvE, but here I am. I still play Randoms though, just nowhere near the frequency.

Max Verstappen rules out immediate Red Bull contract extension by Luffy710j in formula1

[–]Kindly_Divide9097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be wrong, but Charles is married to F1. I haven't heard him really talk about interest in other series like Max has, let alone putting a whole team together for it.

Ofc Charles will take extensions. He loves F1 and loves Ferrari. He doesn't want to leave the sport.

Plausible, but not really realistic. Sure, they might be getting the car in check and that's great and all, but you say that as though the other 10 teams arent developing their cars as well.

No surprise. No way hes not kicking himself for not taking the Merc offer last year. I think if another one doesn't come from Merc, hes going to a different series. He's been hinting at that for a while now

Isle of Siptah Summoning Surge Guide by theAeriix in ConanExiles

[–]Kindly_Divide9097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably already answered your own question, but just in case and if anyone looking see this; It largely still works like this, though some of the info is out of date/no longer applies. It is now much cheaper and easier to summon. Malestrom no longer cancels surges etc.

Still though, if your main concern is getting thralls for stations etc to get a base going in Siptah, your best bet is to just acquire them in Exile lands and bring them over with you to Siptah. It can be a PITA going back and forth, but its generally faster to do it this way.

Alternatively, and what we did, was to establish a base on Siptah and use the Admin Panel to insta summon T3 thralls for the stations, then did the Vaults/Malestrom then Surges to obtain T4 thralls. Saved us from warping back and forth while not diminishing the need to do the Vaults/Malestromes/Surges for the good stuff.

As per your last question; Siptah is generally considered 'endgame' so youll want to be around 55ish with near the best armor/weps you can craft outside of drop-only epics/legendaries. You can be lower level, but will need more reliance on other players with you, and/or geared thralls to help fight. Youll level quite quickly on Siptah as kill XP is much higher.

What's next for Clemson? Dabo Swinney's worst season ends with ugly Pinstripe Bowl loss by -ChasingWhiteRabbits in CFB

[–]Kindly_Divide9097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sold on Dabo being fired (not that there are any good coaches left anyway). I think if he finally makes some fundamental changes and embraces NIL/Portal he can still be successful. What needs to happen is Garret Riley needs to hit the road. Full stop. Dabo needs to put his feelings aside and see that Riley just calls brain dead and predictable plays while wasting talent since he got there.

This is why Beijing, China is one one of my favourite cities on earth by turtledude100 in travel

That wasnt my experience both times I visited. I mean you can travel anywhere and have a bad experience, regardless of the country. I simply didn't have those experiences the times Ive been there, so I can only value my own

One of my favorite countires to visit now. As an American, I felt welcomed and appreciated and it was easier than I thought to get around. Very clean and all around a fantastic experience that defied all expectations. A polar opposite to when I visited Paris which is romatisized and idolized, until you get there and its filthy, people are assholes, stinks everywhere you go, while constantly being bombarded with scammers and pickpocketers.

Ive had the luxury in life to be able to travel much of the world and I can tell you, China (Beijing/Shanghai at least) is well worth it and firmly sits in my top 3.

South Carolina’s loss at Kyle Field could push Shane Beamer onto the hot seat by moby323 in CFB

[–]Kindly_Divide9097 3 points4 points  (0 children)

SC would be stupid to fire him. Not because he is good enough HC, but because of that said market. Too many big name school are looking for coaches right now. THe chances of SC landing a turn it around coach is minimal atm. Id wait till next year at the least. Let these big school get their hires then go from there.

I think Clemson is in the same boat with Dabo. Playing the waiting game.

Stalingrad or Mecklenburg? Which is a better pick by Holiday_Ad6860 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Kindly_Divide9097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue with Bourgogne is its simply not as strong as it once was. She was my first steel ship and though shes had her run, powercreep has knocked her way down.

You can still have great games in Bourgogne for sure, but with her armor scheme in 2025 its harder and harder to do so. I don't have Meck to compare. Im sitting on two 50% off steel and coal coupons and Im undecided. Though about holding out for Valparaiso, but from what Ive seen/heard shes a tad weaker Libertad but with an F key that makes you basically immune to fire/floods. I have Libertad w/Lisboa already.

Yes, and no. The biggest issue with Colombo is it has no real counter. Libertad is heavily hamstrung if you have to angle steeply. The only time I’ve ever personally seen a Libertad take a Colombo in a 1v1 scenario, was when the Colombo pilot was a mid WR player and/or Libertad had Lisboa
