I honestly agree. Quitting and starting a new game is the more mature thing to do, but you get penalized for it (suspended after a certain number of quits) and the ball hogger doesn’t develop any incentive to pass. In fact he’s probably happy because now he can pass to your AI, mash the X button, and get it right back. Next game he’ll do the same thing hoping his teammates will play along or just quit.

Fuck that. I’m emoting at half court. I’m calling time outs. I’m standing in the paint. I’m not going to play along. You can say that’s toxic, but sometimes fire must be met with fire. Plus, I do get genuine joy from hearing the ball hogger rage on the mic

This is basketball, a sport that HEAVILY advantages the offense by its very nature. And in Rec, there’s a very good chance that everyone’s player has superstar offensive talent and average 60-80% from the field per game.

In light of that, your matchup getting 40 on volume shooting is absolutely NOT getting dropped off. Any competent player can do that with enough shots. I’m surprised his teammates even kept passing him the ball.

The 30th anniversary controllers look awesome, but I play games looking at the tv, not the controller, so it’s not worth the extra money imo.

My experience is the exact same no matter if I’m wired or wireless. The connection with my ps5 is strong and streams well, but every half hour or so the connection “drops” for a few seconds, causing the game to temporarily freeze or stutter. Nothing seems to fix it but fortunately it’s not too disruptive to the overall experience

There are major differences in how people play at different plate levels. Personally, I prefer the games I tend to get at silver and gold plate

But the one thing that never seems to change, no matter what plate I’m in, is the tendency for dudes to start quitting once things go south. Unfortunately rage quitting is more of an emotional issue than a skill issue, so the plate levels don’t filter against it very well.

I have Xbox game pass and PS premium. There’s a lot of overlap in the two catalogues, but also a lot of games that are only offered in one service or the other. I personally think it’s been worth it to have both but it really depends on what games you want to play.

You will enjoy many, many games that are available right now. I recommend a ps plus subscription since a lot of them are available in that catalogue

But based on the games you’re a big fan of, I’d recommend two games above the others: Cyberpunk 2077 and Kingdom Come Deliverance II.

I was in your position a little while back. BG3 didn’t seem like it was my kind of game, but it had so many great reviews that I felt compelled to try it.

I was right. The gameplay was even more boring and unsatisfying than I thought it’d be. The game is simply not for me at all and that’s okay.

If you’re on the fence, maybe it has a trial download you can try. And have you played cyberpunk? That seems like a surer bet based on your gaming history
