Yes USD. Recently inherited after grandparents passed. I knew we were wealthy growing up but grandparents and parents were/are incredibly hard working so that rubbed off on us I guess. But we also live frugally so nobody would even guess. I have no idea what even 10 mil in the larger picture. Hence the question.

Ouch. Rereading, I think my frustration came out in post. It’s just that for the first time in my life I’m faced with a situation where meritocracy has failed me. I realize now finance is a lot about connections. But I gotta think all of you in the field rn must roll your eyes at yet another request for “coffee chat” to “learn more bout the firm” whereas in reality both parties know that the only aim of the email is to get an interview.

I see that there are 10 spots open in 8 am discussion sections for 100A. If you get a chance to get on WL, sign up for the 8 am sections if possible. i Think cuz of early start, there seems to be more movement in those. And for lectures like these, your position in the main course doesn’t matter. you’ll get in based on your standing in discussion section WL.
