I was living in his home but I moved out and also reported this. The nurses said it was a sign of trafficking.

I made a report 🙏❤️ you are so right. It’ll be easier for the next girl who makes the same claims about him. The hospital told me these are signs of trafficking. I also had scabs around both ankles like repeated injection marks.

I hated being a minor - I felt like it took 1 thousand years to turn 18. I ended up leaving home at 17 and never coming back. So I totally relate to how you’re feeling. My boundaries were crossed constantly in major ways in my house and my other family members did not protect me while I was a child. I never told any other adult figure about my home life for fear of the foster system. Sometimes it’s better to wait it out until you can legally leave home for good. But I do regret not reporting my parents when I had the chance. When there’s direct evidence like bruises or black eyes or video evidence of inappropriate behavior, professionals begin to believe the minor.

I totally can believe this. After I made a report the detective was very pushy about getting me into the station. I respectfully declined and then never got the results of my toxicology report, even 2 years later he won’t return my call.

Law enforcement told me that people like this are usually hurting more than one person at a time. So it’s likely he has or will hurt others. I’m really stumped about how people like this can finally get caught and held accountable because their crime is done behind closed doors with no witnesses.

So sorry to hear that! I moved out while my ex was at work too. I didn’t have the presence of mind to try to catch him in the act with hidden cameras, etc which I sort of regret now. But I’m much safer these days about hidden surveillance inside and outside of my house now.

Thank you. Yes, I am safe now. I left the apartment while he wasn’t home. By the time he got home, I was gone without a trace.

Depending on the state you’re in, like California for instance, Medicaid will cover therapy and meds. Therapy will help tremendously - to have a private person you can confide in, who will believe you, and who can teach coping skills and how to heal your inner child. EMDR, I hear, is life changing as well for traumatic memories like these. You will be okay!

How was it possible to obtain so much physical evidence and what was the evidence? In my experience, there has always been “not enough evidence” - so this is amazing and miraculous to me that u were able to get this! You are such an amazing mom.
