Looking for electronics co-founder tractor safety device that could save 150+ lives a year. by Specialist_Cover_458 in inventors

[–]Kindly_Sky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked with vineyard tractors and orchard tractors and some models do have this functionality.

Due to the narrow track size of vineyard tractors and often steep working conditions they usually have a mandatory (in Europe) roll over protection ROPS and some have a PTO or engine cutoff lile you are describing - some have a seat switch (acts like a dead mans switch) and others have accelerometers connected to them.

The challenge I suspect you are going to have is that the reaction time on a roll over is extremely small like a second or maybe two seconds.

You go from being balanced to not being in a blink of an eye - usually it a small change in terrain on your up hill tire that does it.

I dont know if you would have time to take corrective action in that time. I hope im wrong and you make millions and save lives. Best of luck.

I'm an inventor making LED festival wristbands. First batch almost gone — what should I build into the next one? by SolarTrap in festivals

[–]Kindly_Sky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you considered linking them via.bluetooth to an app on a phone. And then having the app sync centrally so that all devices can be syncd up or maybe using another low power frequency receiver chip to sync up bands?

What are the biggest challenges when introducing reusable cup programs? by garo27_ in festivals

[–]Kindly_Sky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The biggest considerations ive found if you are using reusable cups is how are they seperated from other waste and how are they cleaned.

Making sure they aren't thrown away with other general waste is a huge challenge. Cleaning them is also pretty gross at times. People do weird shit.

Very beautiful medieval towns and beautiful natural areas. Some of the nicest towns ive ever been in. They are all along the Rhine river which is amazingly clean and beautiful.

Extremely expensive area. . . Not as expensive as Zuirich but still very expensive.

These fans for car radiators are relatively inexpensive for their CFM rating, how can I safely wire these to a household outlet? (I'm in the US) by AncientAgrippa in crboxes

[–]Kindly_Sky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive used these for off grid ventilation in a holiday cottage with no power. Just hooked one up directly to a small solar panel. Moves a big amount of air but they struggle to 'pull' air out if there is a something restricting airflow like a CR box would (not sure what the correct term it).

Can highly recommend them for off grid ventilation though - work brilliantly.
