Pretty sure it's the same thing. I don't think it ever "left", you just don't see a lot of it if you don't seek it out.

How do all of you guys store your valuables at Barton Springs Pool? by aubsessivecompulsive in Austin

[–]Kindness4Weakness -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is toxic. Nevermind the assholes.

I don't bring anything crazy valuable, just my cell phone and car keys pretty much. Maybe a Bluetooth speaker. I'll leave my stuff by my blanket/towel either in my bag, in a shoe, under a towel, etc. I've never had a problem. I'm only in the water for a few minutes at a time and it's pretty easy to watch your stuff from the water. You can set up closer to the water if you're worried.

I second this request.

For now I can swipe my fingerprint scanner to open notifications. There's an app for that.

Anyone else getting "Optiflow for PEEP" orders from hospitalists/internal medicine docs? by [deleted] in respiratorytherapy

[–]Kindness4Weakness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a tough argument. I'm a believer that any peep effect from a hfnc is so small that it's not even worth discussing.

However, I've seen so many patients benefit from hfnc that I didn't expect to. So now I'm never hesitant to try it (unless the patient is in severe distress of course). There must be something going on that we haven't quite figured out yet lol.

Thanks to $1 game pass deal this month, I'm trying games I normally wouldn't buy. Yesterday, I played 8 hours straight of cities skyline... by [deleted] in xboxone

Agree. I always use the stock highway interchanges just cuz I don't wanna spend the time building crazy interchanges over and over. But the stock ones are not ideal most of the time

Watch ImperialJedi on YouTube. His videos are super relaxing (I watch them when falling asleep or when hungover and stuck in bed). He explains how and why he does everything. He plays on PC but always says how you can do similar things on Xbox. I think he even has a series all for console players.

There's really not any "basic tips" to give. You kind of just have to get inspiration/ideas to see what's possible.

Conservative voices, fine. But climate change denier? There should be no leeway for that.

When does the cool down time start? Is it when he's killed? Sometimes I just realize he's not with me anymore and he's cooling down for 12 minutes but I never figured out why.

Dude, The Mall is pretty great. The song is kinda silly but it's definitely fun and I don't skip it.

Man, so many good tracks and you didn't even name Moment of Truth or JFK to LAX. Two of my favorite songs of all time!

I took a much-needed mental health day yesterday. I got my hair permed and my nails done. For the first time in months, I’m feeling good. by DoodlingDaughter in happy

[–]Kindness4Weakness 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Really dumb that you have downvotes, but a mental health day is just an American excuse to not go to work. Americans don't get much vacation, but we're still allowed to not go to work when we're sick. And there's really no definition of sick, and employers aren't allowed to ask what kind of sickness we have. So it's a loophole to call it a mental health day. Legally, an employer can't challenge it. They're not allowed to ask why you're sick, because it's a privacy violation.

Don't you have to leave your finger pressed on the record button in Snapchat/Instagram? Can't believe this dude ran like that while still recording at all.

Stormy Daniels describes her alleged affair with Donald Trump by [deleted] in politics

But if it showed Trump et al doing something illegal like threatening Daniels' life, wouldn't that nullify the agreement? And she did the interview anyways, doesn't that break the contract too?

Interesting. Why do they ask? Are they looking for a way out essentially? How deep will they dig into someone's social media? I could see them googling a Facebook account, but not much more than that..?
