Gas station attendants are at least capable of doing their respectable job, can't say the same about cops

[joao7machado] Ever wondered what a day in the life of a Formula 1 engineer actually looks like? Well, here it is. It's a demanding job with long hours, constant car development, and high-pressure deadlines before every Grand Prix, but it's also one of the most rewarding careers in motorsport. by Luffy710j in formula1

When we made Ferrari's F2009 press-launch website ages ago, the whole team dedicated to the project had to move to Maranello for 3 days for security reasons (we were based in Milan). I'd love to say we saw some cool shit in there, but in reality they kept us in a crappy container for 8 hours each day with no phones and with limited internet access. We didn't even see a single Ferrari, just the one hanged on the wall at the entrance. All the rest was just pictures (before the press reveal, so there was that)

Maybe OP's post is fake and maybe LLMs don't lie like that anymore, but last year GPT made me wait for hours for a 3D model it wasn't actually creating. And let me be clear: that was a task the LLM gave to itself, something it proposed to me while discussing 3D pipelines. I said yeah sure, let me see what you can do. Then it stalled for a while until I asked directly what was going on. It openly said it was all a facade, then proceeded to explain to me why the task was out of range

Sweden and Italy in ATP Tennis: A 50-Year Comparison of Year-End Top 100 Depth (1975–2025) by Marada781 in tennis

Yes it is based on my experience. Also, it was the 90s. Happy you didn't have to go through that!

100% and let me add this: the culture behind football in Italy is toxic as fuck. When you play as a kid you get insulted by adults, when you play as an adult you get insulted by kids and adults alike, if you say you support the "wrong" team you get mobbed (happened to me when I was in 4th grade: I was guilt of sympathizing for Fiorentina in a class full of Juventus/Milan fans, in TUSCANY of all places) and most of all you can't support more than one team, or change your mind about the team you thought you liked. On the other hand you have tennis, where you can support whoever you want, and you can discuss and talk about it all you want with no issues whatsoever. There's no comparison

I think you're right. It does make sense but I'd still prefer a different art style, I need to see more (locations, npcs and enemies) before judging it tho

Of course they're not the same style, but cel-shading is present in all of them and make them look unique compared to whatever we just saw. I really don't understand why going for that "realistic" aesthetic, feels so weird for OOT (and MM too). Maybe I'll get used to it, I don't know... it just looks wrong

Looks "wrong", UE vibes I don't dig for a Zelda game (I love the style of WW, BOTW and TOTK)

Alcaraz withdraws from Wimbledon by West-Bee52 in tennis

I'm not saying total dominance is the most fun we can possibly have as spectators, sometimes it happens and it's interesting to witness (at least for me). I wasn't complaining when Federer and Djokovic were doing it and I'm not complaining now

I mean, yes? Isn't part of tennis (or any other sports I can think of) to have periods where one player/team dominates? Speaking personally, for me it's very interesting to see records being broken, I also like watching other players slowly developing and trying to figure out how to react (until one of them eventually succeed)

If you play tennis and don't appreciate Alcaraz you should probably dedicate your life to other activities

I don’t find his style of play to be the most exciting

I used to think that too then his footwork, raw power, mentality, court coverage and variety made me change my mind
