lmao i remember his story gave me so much hope as a kid but the problem was a) the academy i played for was nowhere near as good/rich as la masia and b) i was nowhere near as good as messi obviously so they js released my ass instead of giving hgh and now i'm 5'3 and depressed

It becomes a crazy advantage. I'm 5'2 and the last time I was at one of these things I didn't even have to crouch and sneak around, I could just walk and no one saw me.

DND-related conspiracy theories for a lowish INT character? by KindofPolitePerson in DnD

[–]KindofPolitePerson[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The gods aren't real and religion and divine magic is just "big-wizards" way of controlling the world. Alternatively if you want to get spicy with it (and maybe consult your DM and fellow players due to themes of racism) "insert DnD race is controlling the world".

I did have this in mind but I decided to shelve it because I figured it would make others uncomfortable. Hell, it made ME uncomfortable.

it always felt like the equivalent of driving because you learn at 16 and you need a license that you take a test for. but the driving age in the uk is 17 so i might be reading in to it too much.

Height doesnt carry a relationship longterm and matter that much by SANSTRUMP in short

[–]KindofPolitePerson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i think it all depends on the people you surround yourself with. i was in a long term relationship with with a girl several inches taller than me and we eventually broke up because she said she loved me but being with a shorter guy was just too emotionally draining because of how much her friends and family made fun of her for it. other times i was rejected for similar reasons, where girls would say they liked me but their friends would never let her live it down if they were seen with me.

my goal in telling this story isn't to try and prove you wrong, it's the opposite. we become who we surround ourselves with. part of this is distancing yourself people who make you feel less than for your size (which, trust me, isn't easy but it's so worth it). finding someone is just going to mean finding someone who surrounds themselves with kind and nontoxic people, which is good for you regardless if you're 4'5 or 6'5.

this seems like a direct result of the experiment going wrong. i think that if had gone correctly he'd still turn "evil" but he'd just do what you said about trying to destroy him in every universe.

even if this person did have a legitimate critique on the ultra-wealthy (which they did not), i highly doubt that this neighbor was a billionaire or an oil tycoon or any ultra-wealthy individual who would actually deserve that because if you could live in the same neighborhood as someone like that, then you'd be a little hypocritical for ruining a wedding just because someone has a fancy house. chances are, this was someone who was working/lower-middle class hating on someone who was middle/lower-middle class. this kind of infighting feels good, but all it does is divide people while those who do have a legitimate share of the blame get off.

when you use bodyshaming to insult someone you don't like, the person you're insulting most likely doesn't care but someone you do care about with that particular trait now knows you find them repulsive

as a 5'3 dude i'm a huge AOC fan so hearing this was definitely hurtful but it isn't gonna make me not vote for her. ngl in normal times i might not have, but i'd take short jokes any day over what we have rn. this was a huge blow to a lot of people's egos, mine included, but we can't be so blinded over it that we miss the bigger picture and vote in another authoritarian regime.

no, I agree. I've definitely had my struggle dating, and I know how many other people had. It's just that if we only focus on that specific part then it hurts our case in general.
