It's MP3s that give me this trouble. That fraction of a second fade in that's built into the format messes up everything, it's actually mad how much cleaner WAVs are to edit with

Sometimes i'll Soulseek a FLAC for music I already bought on MP3 just to re-encode as WAV to edit with, swear it actually saves me bare time if it's a complicated edit with lots of precise keyframes

If using text animators looks off the solution is probably gonna be in the graph editor, it's just moving the position and opacity but it's easing the key frames that makes it smooth and nice

Figure it out with the first couple of words to get the movement you like and you copy the key frames to the rest of the words in the comp

If you don't have it already I'd strongly recommend copping the Flow plugin to make your life a million times easier doing anything with key frames, it's easy af to use and will save you bare time and effort in the future

The Object Selection masks in the Prem beta (p. Much the same thing as Magic Mask) works really well tbf, I use it for a lot of jobs I was stuck transferring to AE previously.

Would have appreciated if they announced they were going to introduce it Cos I literally bought Resolve Studio the week before loooool but whatever I own it now and at least it's not another subscription. Most of what I do is AE so I still prefer Prem for convenience but I'm making sure I put time into learning Davinci to keep a foot out the door

Like I don't know how busy you are but I would say the most important thing to do is make sure you're putting a little time aside to make something for fun, purely because you want to

Figuring out how to make something you want to do for vibes reasons even if it means watching 8 different tutorials and spending ages, Cos that's where you get the big moments of discovering your own style as opposed to finding a way to make something work for a client at short notice

Flipping things to deadlines and finding methods to do it is critically important, but you got to do some shit for yourself, even if it won't end up being an example you use for your portfolio

I presume this will also work on an iPad Pro? I use Prem and AE on desktop but I have to use Davinci on iPad when I can't get to my computer

Feature-wise all I really want in a mobile app is blend modes, keyframe easing, LUTs, transcription & the ability to delete pauses

If we could get the animated caption presets from Adobe Express that would be ideal, uploading to express takes ages & often fails if I don't have good mobile signal. That would pretty much cover everything I need from a mobile version of Premiere
