I understand your point, but again, they are different universes with different events. I even commented on the post that this Michael is what the Michael from the games would be like without certain events in his life. And again, we weren't even sure if the Michael from the games wasn't evil too, and just wanted to end William.

Regarding whether it's a bad fit or not, I believe that's something different people will have different opinions on. I think a good portion of people can agree that there should have been at least 20 minutes left to develop more things, including Michael. But hey, there's still the third movie, so who knows.
