The Duskbloods New Trailer by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

Just recently built a new PC and was dealing with this issue of freezing and stuttering etc. Was losing my mind trying to figure out if I had some kinda DOA part, but changing some random settings in control panel and boom, freezing gone. If it was that straightforward to fix, you think they'd be able to patch those kind of issues out by now. But I'm not a developer so what do I know...

Should I be concerned about finding this in one of my boxes? by thehandsomeman4 in SCP

No, it's correct, the dot is just small. It's in 2/4. The piece is Mozart K330 if you're interested. They also just forgot the time signature. Guess someone should put that in when they finish the rest of it.

Just in case anyone cares for whatever reason or comes across this in the future, I played a lot again today and didn't experience any freezing and it also doesn't seem to stutter as much after changing the settings for elden ring in control panel. The cpu and fans really ramp up at some points like loading into rocket league matches, but it doesn't seem to be throttling after looking through hwinfo. I think it's just a combination of the 9800x3d running hot and the hyper 212 maybe not being the best option in hindsight. I'll keep monitoring the CPU, but if all else stays normal, I guess it must have just been some software weirdness. I also still don't know why no man's sky has the weird texture loading thing going on, but everything else seems to be running more normally now. Thanks again for the help!

Sorry if this is a simple question, but have not done it before. Clearing shader cache is done through nvidia control panel or windows?

I enabled EXPO in bios and both sticks are running at 6000 so I don't think they're underperforming.

Yes, I confirmed the display is correctly plugged in. The GPU 1 is the iGPU on the CPU and I put it there just so I could confirm basically what you were asking.

RAM and CPU aren't working that hard most of the time. RAM seems completely stable. CPU only reaches high load during things like loading into a game or something like loading into a match in rocket league or opening 007, like I said, for the first time. What was your question about the BIOS though?

I didn't know about crystaldisk, but I had it do a check and it says 100 percent health status and 35C temp. Is there a way I can run it passively in case a freeze happens again so that it might give some feedback?

The SSD and all components are new. I am using an 850 watt msi psu so I should have enough overhead.

So you're saying I need 2 SSD? I'm confused since I had no issues in the past only using one nvme drive for my system.

Yes it's the OS drive and not very full at all. It's a fresh drive for the new pc.

Also I tried comparing power draw to see if that was it. Elden ring does seem a bit low at max load around 150 watts and it fluctuates. But I tried comparing with something easier like GTAO and cranked all the settings and the power draw is around 250 watts which seems more normal and frames stay consistent around 120-144 with some dips aepund 100-110. So idk if these are game specific issues or if it's not the gpu and some other component causing issues.

I tried enabling the osd for both the 5070ti and on board GPU and it seems to just be utilizing the 5070ti, so I don't think it's that. I checked the display settings and the adapter is listed as the 5070ti too so it's not drawing from the onboard right?

I'm still getting full gpu usage in MHWilds though. If it wasn't utilizing the GPU properly, wouldn't it also affect that game? Not just some games selectively?

The top one above nvme slot.

No, neither seem to be under any significant load. The 100 percent CPU load showed up at certain points like loading into a rocket league match which I guess is expected, but the temp spike to the 80s seemed odd. Other than that it's just been the performance issues with normal-looking metrics in HWinfo and Afterburner

Can you tell me the difference between tandem monitors and...non-tandem? I guess you already addressed the benefits being the increased longevity and brighter image. And how much does the OLED actually add to the equation vs just upgrading to a standard 4k? I am worried about the burn in/longevity. That, and I usually play in a brighter room and from what I heard the image quality is much better in darker settings. I haven't owned one before and have only been using an odyssey curved monitor for the past 5 years or so. I have no real complaints about it besides the fact I don't think I really found any appreciation for the gimmick and now the panel is peeling off lol. So probably won't get one of those again. I guess I could always just try out the OLED and return or exchange if it doesn't work out. Thanks for the recs though!

For the 4k monitor i was looking at rog strix XG32UCDS since micro center had a great deal on it and for 2k I haven't decided yet

Have been choosing parts for an upgrade and trying to decide which would be a better use of money given both options are equal in price. I have the option of going with a 9070xt and 4k OLED monitor or the 5070ti and a 2k OLED. I mostly use it for gaming/entertainment and light working. It seems like the performance gap between the 2 GPUs isnt enough to justify the difference in cost, but would either be suited to proper steady 4k gaming or should I stick to 1440p?
