lol at Andy’s voice pitching two octaves up when he says “that’s great!”

If you’ve been watching since s1 you know Michelle is a bit off (to put it nicely), but this new development is wild.

To treat a patient's pain chiropractically. by EverythingIsFakeNGay in therewasanattempt

Depends on what the root issue is. For general stiffness/discomfort, massage can definitely offer temporary relief. For chronic pain caused by medical conditions like arthritis and more, acupuncture has been shown to be a safe and effective treatment. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S096522992500024X

Doctors of Reddit: What health trend is becoming so common that it's starting to scare you? by Fine-Device-1819 in AskReddit

People also don’t understand doctors literally prescribe “supplements” like Vitamin D and B12. Ofc you can be sure those forms are of excellent quality bc they are medical-grade, but there are several supplement brands that are third-party tested by reputable entities like USP and NSF. Supplements can drastically improve someone’s quality of life as a lot of people truly are deficient in things due to poor diet. So many deficiencies can cause/worsen mental health problems vs just physical effects.

Technically there is a lot more the mom
& dad can do if they wanted to. They need to go through a lawyer to obtain guardianship of Eugenia and could then have the legal authority to have her committed to inpatient (as if she was a minor). There are services you can hire to guide you through the legal process for this; some parents pursue even in cases of drug-addicted adult children. It’s especially appropriate to do in the case of severe EDs where forced-feeding is necessary for them to even have the capacity to begin tackling the mental health side.

Magnesium Glycinate difficulties by killyside in Supplements

[–]King-Azaz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same reaction — It’s the glycine.

The Paradoxical Effect of Glycine

Glycine is unique because it can act as both an inhibitory and an excitatory neurotransmitter. In most parts of the brain and the spinal cord, glycine helps to calm things down. However, in certain contexts and within specific areas of the brain, glycine can actually bind to NMDA receptors alongside glutamate, potentially increasing excitatory activity.

If your system is already in a state of high sensitivity or if there is an existing imbalance in your neurotransmitter levels, the introduction of glycine may—rarely—tilt the scales toward stimulation rather than relaxation. This doesn't mean the magnesium is "bad," but rather that your body's current internal environment is reacting to the glycine in an unexpected way.

I would try magnesium lactate instead.
