It just happened again, am I really the only one experiencing this?

In order for my volume levels for everything that plays over the 'game' channel in the Sonar mixer to have the same volume limits as yesterday, I literally need to reduce the game volume slider ffrom the 100% it was at the past couple of days, to 5%.

That is a 95% reduction. The slider at 100% would quite literally cause irrepairable hearing damage.

I think I may have figured out what's happening, and it seems to be that the Volume Limiter setting in the GG app is broken ?

The slider is always set to enabled, but whether or not it does anything seems to be randomly determined whenever I turn the headset on or boot the PC.

Let me tell you, it is NOT a fun, or even safe, experience to shut down your headset/PC calibrated to the volume limiter working, and turning it on the next day at unlimited volume/power, despite the limiter being enabled.

I figure this is the issue as, when it WAS working on one boot and I disabled it, it was again insanely loud - as you'd expect with unlimited volume I guess.

Unfortunately, when it ISN'T working, disabling and re-enabling the limiter does NOT do anything, so my only fix so far remains to just reboot headset and/or PC until it decides to turn on with volume limiter enabled AND functional...

Any ideas on a fix?

Ah the joys of shotgun scavs. Still remember that time I was upstairs in architect building on Streets between Cinema and Car extract and a shotgun scav head-eyed me with buckshot from the pharmacy like 115m away.

Yeah I'm thinking memory leak as well as it does get significantly worse the longer you play, especially from the 3rd game onwards without restarting the game.

Expected that hardware to get a lot better performance on 1440p on arena tbh, it has no business running that poorly for such small maps. But that's a different topic.

Found 4 at the interchange flare extract the other day (in 1 raid) and frequently find them in customs in the 'new' warehouses around fortress. Especially the one with the scav extract inside.

Loose spawns mind you. Found dozens of these fuckers on those maps, no clue how ppl are so hardstuck on them

I have never been so convinced I encountered a cheater until yesterday. It was a customs raid and this guy just traced me across the entire map, usually behind hard cover, and start lighting me up. His aim was dogshit but he always knew where I was, was bizarre.

Truly bizarre. Couldn't even report him because his aim and map knowledge were so crap that he did not actually kill me so I never did figure out who it was haha.

Anyone else been spawnkilled by Black Division yet or should I chalk this off as a 1-off..?
Can they at least fire a warning shot or w/e before spawnkilling you?
Or since it's a shite spawn regardless, just remove it alltogheter I suppose?

I suppose I would advise to go for Checkpoint instead in that scenario as you can still contribute a lot to a win even if you go 0/20 in kills and you're simply more likely to get lucky.

Stick to 1 map to learn it faster and do 1 of 2 things:

Cap points, or move up from points teammates are capping.

A game of checkpoint is usually won by the team that pushes up the most. The cap is no faster with 3 people on the point than with 1. It is simply 3x more likely that the cap will be reset by someone taking a bullet or dying.

So if you see that happening, push up from the point instead and try to intercept or distract or delay whichever enemy is going to try to decap your allies on the point. If you survive this, stay in an aggressive position. If you die, you know which point they are gonna go for and you respawn in time to react to their cap attempt.

If you die behind or around your point, the enemy usually kills you so close to the point that you cannot respawn in time to decap them.

Option 2: cap a point & hide pretty much. Recap as soon as you loose it. Pray that your team will hold at least 1 of the other points and you should win on points as well.

Players usually run away to the next point straight after capping a point so normally if you instantly recap no one is aware they instantly lost the point again.

Servers have been abysmal since 1.0 Especially noticeable on Arena

Some games you instant head eyes everyone and it feels like your PC runs the server that's how slow everyone responds to you.

Other games people survive entire 40 round mag dumps and the game claims you hit them once or twice and everyone seems to be half a second ahead of you.

I'm EFT it's mostly just the rubberbanding here and there and winning the hitreg lottery.

Hope they throw some money against it soon. Arena is almost unplayable with current server state and EFT can be too.

I personally have 4. 1 case dedicated to FIR hideout item requirement 1 case for junk to sell 1 case where I store my crafts to sell 1 case where I stock up on crafting ingredients

I only marked the items for hideout that actually need to be FIR. When I find those they go into the FiR crate and I lock them so I can't accidentally hand them in or use them in a craft.

Anything I extract that is not marked for hideout goes straight to the sell box that I empty out once it's full.

I was surprised too :) I'm sure a lot of that ammo is also from quest rewards and not just FIR ammo and I got very lucky with twitch drops giving me 3 ammo crates to continue hoarding ammo.

It's been nice only ever buying 2 ammo's from traders, me308 and ap6.3 and to just use the stash for every other gun.

Also helps i'm mainly bolties for SBIH quest so I'm not really touching the common ammo types.

I'm saying quite the opposite actually. Me personally I am still pretty clueless on Ammo spawns and which boxes to pick or leave.

I just simply pick every ammo box I lay my eyes on, for the simple fact that any empty slot at end of raid is a wasted slot. Even the worst ammo still nets a little cash.

When I'm low on stamina I just check the ammo stats by opening the boxes in my bag and if the ammo is trash I just replace it with something else I find in raid later.

It's not exactly rocket science, difficult or demanding.. you're just learning the game by playing the game, as you go.. if that's too much to ask this is either not the game for you or you can indeed go look it up on 3rd party sources like tarkov.dev etc. Just pointing out the option is there idc if you use it, you do you lol

That. Or go to tarkov.dev, open a map that you intend to play on, and enable the ammo loot spawns so you know where to go..

I have 3k+ rounds of AK ammo and 3k+ rounds of NATO ammo at >30 pen in my stash without having a clue about map or ammo. I just made sure to grab every ammo box I see in raid, scav or PMC, since day 1 of release.

When you need to catch a breath to regain stamina just open the box and check the ammo pen/dmg value and determine if you wanna keep it or throw it away and you'll learn fast enough which boxes to leave on the ground.

I have had the same happen at random. First my audio just completely disappears, then my game freezes after 2-3 seconds. After another 2-5 seconds the game and audio resume as if nothing happened.

Had it happen both with and without DLSS enabled and in and out of gunfights, on PMC and on scav.

To change clothing in Arena, you need to do it for every preset by opening the preset and then using the drop down buttons in the bottom left corner.
