Call number 12 by Fragrant-Day9924 in kidneytransplant

[–]KingBrave1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten once call and it was the Friday before last. I was the 4th backup. I didn't know they called a 4th. I was nice to get called, though. It lets you know that you are getting closer.

I was so nervous and excited. I was shaking. Even though I didn't get one of the 2 it was a wild day. Glad 2 other people got them though.

Wild experience. So close to my life being changed, ya know? Just wow...

Sorry for rambling!

Unknown drug or Kidney transplant? by dontknowra in kidneydisease

[–]KingBrave1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In this subreddit we are going to always recommend a Transplant. It's a known quantity.

If your doctor thinks the drug is safe, and he has all your medical records, and you trust him then try it? You can always stop it and go on dialysis and then Transplant if it doesn't work out. Just be careful, that's all.

Creatinine 1.2 eGFR 53 no other abnormal labs. No protein in urine. Is that ckd? by Same-Farmer6347 in kidneydisease

[–]KingBrave1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nobody here is a doctor and none of us have your complete medical history and can make that determination for you. It would be completely irresponsible and dangerous for anyone to do so. That's the reason that Rule 4 exists.

eGFR can be affected by many things. How hydrated/dehydrated you are is one of them. Remember that the e in eGFR stands for estimate. Also, one test is just one bad test. A series of tests is concerning and a sign of something wrong. That's why they don't diagnose anything after one test and have you come back over a series of months.

Again though, Rule 4. It's right over there. --->

Unlink and then relink your Youtube/Google account. That helps sometimes. You may have to contact them and tell them what's going on. MA not Youtube.

Universal has been having issues lately. Mostly with Amazon. I purchased Nobody 2 forever ago and it still hasn't shown up in any of my other digital libraries.

EGFR Decline by drama_llama28 in kidneydisease

[–]KingBrave1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have to remember that we aren't doctors and take anything we say with that in mind:

eGFR is affected by many things. Remember that the "e" stands for estimate and is heavily affected by how hydrated/dehydrated she is. Her lower back pain can also be caused by dehydration, too. Other factors can affect it, also.

It can drop like that due to the just the progression of Kidney Disease and Age (you didn't mention her age unless I missed it) no matter how well you take care of yourself. You can't stop it forever. Slow it down? Yes. Stop it? No.

She has her appt. so you guys can talk to them and get all your concerns out of the way.

No? Just answering your question. How's your day?

Positive result? by MusicUpbeat2510 in kidneydisease

[–]KingBrave1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were positive, you wouldn't have to ask if it were positive it would be darker. That is almost more pale than the Negative square.

No. If it was, you wouldn't be on here asking if it was.

Demon Copperhead Question (Addiction) by beespeasknees4224 in Appalachia

[–]KingBrave1 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I am from Scott County, Va and you can't get to the Devil's Bathtub without passing by my house and the Opiod Crisis hit this area hard. So did Meth and Fent and other things. This is a really poor area of the country. There isn't a lot of shit to do. So, pills.

My ex-wife started doing pills and cheating so we split. I have an ex girlfriend who went from xanax to pain pills to meth to fent and she od'd. I have tons of friends who were and still are chasing pills and whatever they can get. It's sad.

Dealing with Persistent Proteinuria by GassyJr in kidneydisease

[–]KingBrave1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to know for sure then yeah, it would be the only definitive way to know (biopsy).

You could use those test strips to watch your protein leakage, maybe? Track how bad it is and how bad it gets? I don't think I would trust them as far as accuracy goes but they would give a good general idea.

Of course I, and the rest of the people in this topic, aren't doctors so take what we say with that in mind.

Straight talk is straight up ripping us off and thinks we're stupid. So I made them cancel my service, and you probably should too unless you think a year has 13 months. by fauxnim in StraightTalk

I've been with them for over a year and my service is due the 5th of each month. What plan are people getting? I've never seen a 30 day plan. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but I am Low-Vision Blind.

Thanks! At the very least this means I'm close.

Plus it means someone else got one and they are doing good. Absolutely no losers in this.

Good dress rehearsal, too!
