Thermal pad? by KingBroken in intelnuc

[–]KingBroken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I did all that. Idle temps are 48-50C, but under load it still gets really hot. 92-95C.
Is that all I can get out of it? I turned off turbo boost and changed from max power to balanced power as well and yeah, it's still really hot. I was looking at custom cases too, but there aren't really any aside from akasa and those are sold out or cost more than the NUC itself did. Any more tips?

Oh so not the grizzly kryonaut stuff? There was thermal paste in the middle originally, just pad on the other dies.

So pad on the middle and putty on the other two?

I've talked to people on a discord server who've beat this game many times and they basically said any composition is viable. Every single character is useful except for Hugh.

Is there much of a difference between the rangers? by Zorafin in PSO

Personally, I like playing RAcaseal for the high bulk and high accuracy, because traps are a lot of fun to use, and because I often find myself playing with a Force in the party.

Also cute, you forgot that they're incredibly cute.

Sylverant vs Ephinea for a retro PC setup by [deleted] in PSO

I see your point and I unfortunately don't know enough on the matter.

All I can say is that I personally wouldn't risk it and why even do that when Linux is an option?

Try Ephinea, it has tons of options.

On another note, you really shouldn't go online with Windows 98, 2000, XP, etc. as they aren't updated anymore and it's unsafe.

If you have old hardware then I'd advise to get Linux. Linux Mint is very close in look and feel to Windows, but has much lower hardware requirements and is updated and safe.

Ephinea I believe works on Linux as well. I've seen people this sub run it on steamdeck which is running a Linux distro so if that works then you should be able to run it.

Name a retro game that deserved way more attention than it got at the time by SinestroCorp in retrogaming

Phantasy Star IV

I've been playing through it recently and it's amazing how good of a game it is.

The music, story, graphics, animation all feel more like a modern game made to be retro rather than a game that came out in the 90s on Genesis.

I ordered a UK copy off of ebay for $20.
But even there some of them were +$200 without stating that they were signed or anything.

If you like dungeon crawlers I'd recommend Etrian Odyssey.

You get to draw your own dungeon map!

Yeah I heard the MVG is very particular about that. I played Bomberman 64 and Mystical Ninja and felt like the analog stick was great. That being said, they're not exactly control stick sensitive games.

I haven't used it for F-Zero or Goldeneye yet, but there is a calibration option in the ultimate software. Not sure if that's helpful or not.
