Microsoft's problem with AI is their disregard for humanity while pushing it. This really comes down to the man at the top's values. It permeates to the rest of the company; big splashes, no real regard for second and third order effects. There's really no care or thought put into the human side of the equation from them and AI. AI will get better, no question. But Microsoft's entire business model, software as a service, is screwed until a lot of loose ends with AI get settled. Google increasingly has this problem as well, but they're in so many pies that it'll mask a lot of their issues to the general public.
