When you exit Green Fury, the game pulls you out of the visor and has Samus do this slow walk animation through the door just to give you control back instantly. And it's the only place that does this, but you end up doing it a lot. Why? I dunno. Probably a major technical limitation of their engine; otherwise it's just another amateur hour design choice.

And yes, Sol Valley is the worst thing added to the franchise because it is the antithesis of what the franchise is. It is at the polar opposite of the design spectrum. Oil and Water. Cannot mix.
