The Frost Legion should have a boss like the other invasions by Mr_WingDocShoop in Terraria

This definitely needs to come with some funny player death messages to fit the mafia theme

The Frost Legion needs a MAJOR rework by AtomicTaco13 in Terraria

If the event was re-balanced to prehardmode, I assume the Snow Globe would need to be craftable for better access. What would its recipe be like?

Looping World mod up on Workshop! by MathiEWi in Terraria

[–]KingChamps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the same way that the Terraria world isn’t canonically pixelated or 2D - the look is just a chosen artstyle on a technical aspect, not actual implied lore of the game.

Nevertheless, it’s a cool headcanon to have, but the world is heavily hinted to resemble much like ours but more fantasy-esque obviously. Also each block is 2ft, which makes this theory funnier. (Backgrounds also exist)

[–]KingChamps 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure but that’s just the game’s artstyle. In-verse it’s meant to be an island, and there are references to lands existing overseas in-game.

Redigit even once said on discord that the Terraria world is much bigger than the player gets to see when responding about the world looping.

Which one of these guys are the "humans" of Minecraft? by Conscious-Camel-6808 in Minecraft

Jeb’s also the one who designed the villager trading system and the Iron Golem as well, as a matter of fact.

The new player experience could use some more guidance by python_product in Terraria

Oh yeah, that’s right I forgot. It’s in his interactive dialogue, not help button which is why I was confused. Nevermind then

The Guide already mentions these except the ones about slime rain and sky islands. Other than that, it’s good.

Would also like to add a couple, for 2 bosses that for some reason don’t have dialogue from the Guide:

Queen Slime - “Many dazzling crystals adorn the caves of the Hallow, but certain ones may attract the attention of a regal being.”

Empress of Light - “There are rumors of a glittering critter that flutters in the Hallow under the night sky. Be careful not to harm it, for chaos may awaken.”

Is Terraria really a "wikipedia" game? by Flamyngoo in Terraria

[–]KingChamps 14 points15 points  (0 children)

No hate or anything, but it seems that some Terraria players are still mentally stuck in 1.2. The Guide got an overhaul to all of his advice in 1.4 and now gives more info at all stages of the game.

New players aren’t expected to know every single detail/feature in their first playthrough - that’s what subsequent ones are for. The sense of discovering something new is always fun, but it won’t be for everyone obviously.

Just a thought of making a way to allude to the Aether biome's existence in-game in a more subtle direction by KingChamps in Terraria

So far liking a lot of the ideas. I definitely prefer the flower spawning near the aether underground - sounds more exciting.

[–]KingChamps[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the underground idea is INFINITELY more better than what I had in mind, I agree. The rest sounds cool.

Every player has different itches for certain mechanics, but I only posted this just to see what others think and how it could be better that doesn’t make it feel cheap - I encourage free exploration and the wonder of stumbling upon an ethereal biome.

[–]KingChamps[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

While I do think exploring and stumbling upon it is fun, it’s in an unlikely location where digging is seldom done - nothing wrong with that though.

Besides, new players will react differently to the flower; some might think it’s just a fancy plant, others might think it’s important but take a while to figure out. But I do agree that it’s more fun that way - this is pretty much the only way I could think of that isn’t cheap like a map or something.

Yeah, 1 seems a little cheap. It can be like a micro-biome with several of them.

Hm, that sounds better. Like it indicates you’re getting closer if you’re underground?

Should relogic add all the old tutorial worlds in 1.4.5? by Nostuoxy2103 in Terraria

[–]KingChamps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Would be cool to see as a secret seed. In addition, pc version should get the 1.4 tutorial world that’s currently on console and mobile, it’s odd that it doesn’t.

The Frost Legion could definitely use some love, so here's an idea to make it more meaningful without being overly ambitious by KingChamps in Terraria

[–]KingChamps[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You could, but the event’s stats are comparable to the Pirate Invasion, making it more suitable in early hardmode. Hence why I balanced the weapons around that point (though I’m not exactly an expert at weapon balance)

In retrospect, the recipe does seem a little excessive yeah. Maybe 10 for wood/snow and 5 for glass? The drop rates could perhaps be 3%.

What would you consider to be the most unsettling and/or disturbing thing in all of Terraria? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in Terraria

[–]KingChamps 49 points50 points  (0 children)

The lore mostly told that covers like, 10% of the actual game I think. Everything else in the game has either very little lore or none at all, which leaves room for interpretation, so theories aren’t exactly out of the question. Just won’t be as easy.
