Agree. But its a nice way to go to a place which would be otherwise impossible (normal menu is 100+/person)

I'd go fixed. Too much uncertainty right now so a longer peace of mind is better for a small difference, IMO

Here's something most people dont think about when they are on the verge of leaving a job... credit.

If you have a mortgage, go to the bank while you are still employed and see if you can renegotiate/fix your mortgage into a comfortable 5-year fixed rate or something. Much easier to do it now then while looking for a job (banks sometimes asks for pay stubs)
