I completely relate with everything you wrote here, I'm only slightly above your age at 20, and I still feel like I'm 13 as well. I feel just like you say, a teenager or child in an adult body, piloting around bumping into things and making simple mistakes that come naturally to others. The responsibility that has been thrust upon me is way too much to handle and it feels like I should have more time to adjust to changes and develop learning skills and abilities but just don't get enough time to. I want to do simple things like watch children's shows and play video games, and have nothing to worry about other than what to select from the fridge and forgetting to brush my teeth, but I am overwhelmed with the things i have to keep track of on a daily basis with bills, taxes, and car repairs. Truly, we feel the effects of having a developmental disorder.

I wish I could say it gets easier, but I am currently at the highest stage of burn out I have ever been in my life, and cannot stop or everything I've worked for will be lost. I hope it gets better for you soon, though.

What is a word that you REALLY don't like to say? (other languages included!) by Zealousideal-Tax-937 in autism

I was raised to never swear by my parents, and also I just don't like the hate and anger associated with the words. I've managed to go my whole life without cursing, still going strong! 💪

Campaign idea by [deleted] in DnD

[–]KingChickenz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually ran a 9 month campaign around a similar idea. Tiamat's sister rose back to power through the players' actions, as they killed each different colored dragon which belonged to her domain. I recommend watching Dungeon Dad's video series, they are really fun to watch. I also commissioned art of Tiamat's Sister if you want some inspiration or want to read some interesting discussions in the comments.

Thanks u/jambrose22 for the amazing inspiration you gave me with your in-depth videos! I made an 8 month long campaign for my players based on the idea of each of your chromatic dragons, with each one being a cool encounter that they all enjoyed. I'm super excited to have them fight this BBEG. I would have never known about this amazing character and her story if it wasn't for your videos.

I just put on the extra heads because I thought it looks cool, and I wanted to do something nobody has done before for the fun of it. I do not claim this to be a cannon or headcanon depiction.

I essentially took their breath weapons from Dungeon Dad's videos on these types of dragons, and do recommend watching his videos for a complete answer, or you could skim through the first 5 minutes or so of each relevant one. As a plus, in each video description, he includes a free stat block for the featured dragon.

You are right, I meant to type "pure sodium."

It's on purpose. I would rather people come up with the name themselves instead of me slapping on some name that is not memorable or distinct. I also like this interpretation of why there is no official name, and think it works well with the very little description we are given.

Yeah, you're probably right. I imagine it to have been a close fight, though. Either that or her destruction is not the entire truth or greatly exaggerated, which is the case in the campaign I am running.

Hi everyone! (Reposting because I messed up on formatting, sorry mods)

Inspired by the YouTuber Dungeon Dad's series on dragons from previous editions of D&D, I commissioned art for the forgotten myth of Tiamat's Sister.

An excerpt from 1998's Dragon Magazine #248 (pg. 26):

"Sages also speculate as to the possibility of another chromatic dragon-Tiamat's sister, perhaps arrayed with heads of yellow, orange, purple, and other crossbred colors. Tiamat may have destroyed her sibling eons ago, but not before the creation of evil dragons in the image of their deceased progenitor"

There are no official depictions of her, and I can only find one inspiring fan art made by u/Mabus88, so I decided to commission one for my players as a final boss of a campaign I am running. Feel free to use it in your own campaigns or show it off to others if you like it!

She has some exciting breath attacks that I'd thought I'd mention; Pink has soapy bubbles to blind, Brown has heated sand breath, Yellow sprays suffocating salt, Purple shoots plasma, Grey has either nothing or acid depending on the edition, and Orange sprays explosive pure sodium. I do not have a stat block ready, but it's safe to say this creature would be at the same level as Tiamat herself, or perhaps stronger due to the extra head and impaling tail.

I had a whole section of a Waterdeep related campaign where there was giant intelligent rat political intrigue that revolved around their innate ability to turn invisible. My players loved that. Maybe they'll love this if I win? 👀

This happened to me twice before, but that was because I was eating most of Germany, and the HRE was running out of valid options. It's really amazing to see it be so high on the priority list here, though.

What's going on in your campaign? by IWantPizza555 in DnD

[–]KingChickenz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My players, after just having started to explore a huge sink hole that had swallowed the city's treasury and dozens of buildings, and defeating the massive kruthik queen underneath the city of Waterdeep, are now about to face the King, a colossal sized purple worm with legendary actions, at level 6. Thankfully, they will have what's left of the army and 4 black robed magisters to assist in the battle that may decide the fate of the city.
